Share needs food for families Xmas hampers are only halfway to being filled
By Diane Strandberg THE TRI-CITY NEWS
Share Family and Community Services desperately needs thousands of packages of food — especially highprotein items — so the food bank can fill holiday hampers in time for Christmas. This season, food banks in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody expect to distribute 1,800 hampers and Share is well short of the 52,240 items it needs to fill them. A visit to the Port Moody food bank this week revealed dozens of empty crates that should be filled if volunteers are expected to stock hampers and add a little extra for the holiday season. see SHARE NEEDS, page 3

MLA Joe Trasolini (she was asked by the party to file her papers; no nomination date has been set). But on Nov. 14, 2011, both attended the TriCities’ Chamber of
Commerce all-candidates’ meeting, held at Evergreen Cultural Centre, and both were asked the following yesor-no question, submitted from the floor and read by the event moderator, Barrie Seaton: see ROBINSON, page 14
