Property values stay stable Assessments should reflect minor change, say officials

Abbotsford’s total property value now rests at $20.19 billion, up marginally from last year’s total of $19.98 billion. Mission rose from $5.65 billion to $5.67 billion.

A 12-year-old Abbotsford boy’s condition has been upgraded after being hit by a garbage truck on Wednesday morning while using a crosswalk at the intersection of Bevan Avenue

and Ware Road. Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the boy has gone through surgery and is now in the process of healing and recovery. He is expected to remain in hospital for several weeks. He was airlifted to a

Vancouver-area hospital with serious lower body injuries after he was hit by the truck just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. MacDonald said a police officer was stopped at the intersection when the accident occurred, and witnessed the “rather severe impact.”
