ABOUT US
Owner Lisa (Wojcik) Boek was inspired to create Black Bow Sweets from a coveted family recipe – her mother’s candied pecans. Every holiday season, homemade confections, jams and goodies were a tradition for gifts. No homemade treat was ever more requested than her mother’s candied pecans and batches upon batches were made every winter. As Lisa grew older and moved out on her own, she continued her family’s baking tradition for the holidays. “The Nuts,” as they were referred to, continued to be the favorite among friends and soon Lisa was baking candied pecans for every occasion year ‘round. Thus, the idea for Black Bow Sweets was born.
OUR PATH TO HIGHER QUALITY
The journey to producing the best quality nut creations started with our overriding commitment to always do things the right way. We use premium ‘better-for-you’ ingredients including California grown nuts, cage free egg whites, sea salt, pure cane sugar, fresh cinnamon and other premium spices.
We slow roast in small batches at lower temperatures, which yields evenly coated and delicately crunchy gourmet products with the full nutty, sweet & subtly spiced flavors coming through.
We manufacture at our own Northern California facility under the strictest quality standards following our Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP program.
GIVING BACK
Lisa is a cancer survivor. She knows firsthand about the huge difference cancer-fighting organizations can make. That’s why Black Bow Sweets proudly supports and makes ongoing donations to outstanding organizations such as: Imerman Angels, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals and the American Cancer Society.
We also believe in buying local. We source ingredients from local suppliers & farmers who grow their crops in nearby Central California.
