W

elcome to the Irish Travel Trade Shows 2022, the first major gathering of travel professionals here in Ireland since early 2020. We have two wonderful events - the ITAA’s first ever show in Cork taking place in the classic Imperial Hotel, and our Dublin show in the splendid surrounds of The Riu Plaza The Gresham.

The Irish Travel Trade Show is a highlight of the travel professional’s calendar, providing a unique opportunity to meet with suppliers providing high quality products to the market. This year, between both events, we have over 150 international and local exhibitors to share innovations and to establish contacts within the trade.

2022 is proving to be a year like no other within the travel trade. While we are facing new challenges in the coming year, it is no doubt that the resilience the industry has shown over the previous two years will persevere and I am sure in the knowledge that we will handle these as we have in the past.

Along with new hardships, 2022 is also time for travel professionals to reconnect with suppliers face-to-face and strengthen existing business relationships. A time to refresh our knowledge and to educate ourselves on what product is available. In business, we tend to trust and work with the people we know. That is what makes this event so important, offering both the supplier and the retailer a competitive advantage.
