Apiramon Ourairat (Pim) holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction from Rangsit University, Thailand, showcasing her expertise in educational strategies and program development. Pim earned a Master of Science (MS) in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the U.K., and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Business from George Washington University in the U.S.A. In her professional journey, Pim has served as the Chief Executive Officer at various esteemed institutions, including the Satit Bilingual School of Rangsit University, the Satit International Bilingual School at Chiangmai, and the British International School, Phuket. She has held the position of Vice President in Enterprise at Rangsit University and contributed to the academic community as a lecturer at the College of Education, Rangsit University.

With over 35 years of experience in education and international schools across Australia, Europe, and Asia, Simon Meredith brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Since arriving in Phuket in 2005, Simon has held various positions including Mathematics Teacher, IGCSE Coordinator, Head of High School, and Secondary Principal and current Headmaster. Throughout his career, Simon has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.

Rick has 14 years of experience working with the SBS schools. He started his career as an Economics and Maths teacher and soon took over as Head of Department. He further developed his skills through Cambridge training and was appointed the Cambridge Curriculum Coordinator. He took the role as Secondary Principal for two years where he was then selected to become the Head of Schools. The Head of Schools role entrusted him to oversee the overall success for both Satit Bilingual School in Rangist and Satit International Bilingual School in Chiangmai.

Nick Pinks brings to the Group over 30 years of Corporate Finance experience in multiple industries including Education, private equity, local government and not for profit.
Nick started his career in London working in corporate finance for a global communications network. He relocated to Thailand in 2007 where he has continued his role in the finance field for a large multinational organisation and then more recently from 2016 in the education sector.

Nigel was a founding member of staff at British International School, Phuket (originally Dulwich International College). Through the life of the school he has held a variety of positions teaching, ICT, Computing and Mathematics, for the last few years he has been the Director of ICT, overseeing the development of technology at BISP. Prior to joining BISP, Nigel taught in the UK, Botswana, Kenya and United Arab Emirates.
His educational philosophy centers on preparing students for a dynamic global landscape while nurturing their well-being, resilience, and compassion.
Duke is an experienced Chief Brand Strategist with a strong background in corporate affairs and branding. He served as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at DTAC, overseeing regulatory, legal, government relations, communications, ethics & compliance, and sustainability. Prior to that, he was EVP Corporate Brand & Communications at TMB Bank PCL, focusing on branding, customer experience, communications, and CSR. He also held SVP Corporate Affairs at GE Capital. Duke holds a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

British International School, Phuket (BISP), is an English medium, co-educational, day and boarding school that was established in 1996 in the heart of Phuket, Thailand. Its purpose-built 44 acre campus includes high quality boarding accommodation and provides world-class facilities that enable students to excel in sports and the expressive arts, as well as in their studies.

BISP provides a Pre-school, Primary and Secondary school education of the highest international standard. External examinations are offered in the IB Diploma, IGCSE, and Cambridge ESOL. In addition, an externally assessed programme for spoken English is provided through the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), and the music department offers ‘Rock School’ examinations and qualifications.
Students are at the very heart of the Primary curriculum at BISP as the school aims to nurture creative, resilient and happy young learners whose curiosity and confidence enables them to take risks, to explore and expand their thinking and to develop their independence as they start to recognise their place in the world around them and build strong foundations in learning.
BISP is guided by the rigorous expectations of the National Curriculum of England which is adapted and enriched to ensure that learning opportunities meet the diverse needs of all the students in the school’s international context and celebratory of the school’s
location in Phuket, Thailand. A comprehensive Key Stage Three (KS3) programme leads on to the IGCSE, when students typically select between seven and 10 subjects from the 23 subject options on offer.

International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme is an inquiry based curriculum framework for children aged 3-12. The children take part in meaningful learning activities where they are given opportunities to creatively and critically solve real- world problems. Cambridge International Programme
The Cambridge International Programme is available to students from an early age, ensuring that our students are better prepared for both National and International University entrances. SBS students are able to select the Cambridge International Programme at the start of Secondary One. Students will continue with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, focusing mainly on Cambridge English Language, Cambridge Mathematics, Cambridge Computer Science and Cambridge Combined Sciences throughout their Secondary One studies.
At the end of Secondary Three, students complete their IGCSE studies as well as their PSAT (Pre-SAT) exams. The PSAT exams ensure that students are prepared for the SAT exams at the end of their Secondary Four studies. Cambridge International students start their Cambridge AS/A-Levels in Secondary Four, where they select a minimum of three subjects which they focus on for the
next 3 years of their studies. The three subjects selections are aligned with their future studies at Universities. At the beginning of Secondary Four, our curriculum is designed to ensure that students have the knowledge and skills to undertake external examinations such as Cambridge AS Level, SAT English, SAT Mathematics, and the English proficiency tests specifically, IELTS.
During their final year studies, students experience an Internship program, giving them the work experience they need to be better prepared for their future studies.

Kindergarten Programme
SBS Chiangmai Kindergarten is an accredited Cambridge Early centre that follows an Early Years Framework which is tailored to the needs of our children. The Early Years staff work as a team to plan for children’s learning in seven key areas identified within our framework, ensuring their skills are built progressively and with consideration of individual children’s needs and interests.
Cambridge International Primary Curriculum
SBS Chiangmai delivers a comprehensive curriculum that provides students with opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and concepts to help them become internationally-minded bilingual citizens. The diversity of the students and teachers provides opportunities to collaborate and develop awareness of our similar and differing perspectives.
Language Learning : Trilingual Approach
A child’s solid understanding of their first language is important in the development of a confident bilingual child. The trilingual approach, teaching English, Thai and Mandarin, starts from our Early Years. SBS Chiangmai primary students attend specialist classes for their first language of Thai or Mandarin. Mandarin as an Additional Language instruction is offered in order to ensure our trilingual approach is effective. As we embrace Thai values and bilingualism/trilingualism, all students participate in Thai Language and Culture classes. Thai as an Additional Language classes for non-native students begin in P1.
In Primary, English as an additional Language (EAL) support is provided within the context of the primary classroom. Homeroom and language support teachers plan together to deliver what individual students need to access the curriculum within the classroom setting. In some cases, a child may be provided individual or small group instruction outside of the classroom.
Secondary School Programme
SBS Chiangmai Secondary School offers a corridor to higher education with the valuable key of bilingualism, unlocking doors to opportunities worldwide. Underpinning our dual-language pathway, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) offers a culturally sensitive international curriculum to ensure the best in academic learning and holistic development.
Secondary Tracks
Educational tracking involves the classification of students into different educational programs based on established criteria such as interest, ability, or achievement. In Lower Secondary, students are presented with pre-defined subjects that accommodate their varying abilities. As students progress from Year 9 to Year 10, they are presented with a broad selection of IGCSE and As/A Level topics from which they can identify areas of study to focus on.
At SBS Chiangmai, Lower Secondary students are introduced to four unique tracks/strands to choose from, ensuring that they are fully equipped with the necessary academic skills to prepare them for university or career pathways.
Medical Studies Track
Track Students whose interests thrive around Medical Sciences are given the opportunity to focus on a track leading to Medical Studies. SBS Chiangmai’s Medical track is uniquely-designed to provide the students the needed content knowledge to be fully-equipped when pursuing medical studies in the future. Apart from our Internship programmes with various hospitals in Thailand, our medical simulation centre also provides the opportunity for students to gain first hand experience.
Engineering Track
The engineering track in SBS Chiangmai is a specialised
study pathway. This pathway has a two-fold function: It guides students in selecting the most suitable IGCSE and A-Level subject combinations required for a career in engineering and the physical sciences. It also provides practical experience in the field of manufacturing, technology and scientific research through specialised field trips, internships and within-school experimental research.
Business Enterprise Track
Students who excel in interpersonal skills and demonstrate great understanding in promotion and marketing are led to the Business Enterprise Track to better focus on needed competencies required for business studies in future career paths. Business Studies and English are essential, and Extended Mathematics is recommended. Business Studies is the main subject aligned with the track as it gives students an insight into how a business operates, including its environment, human resource management, marketing, operations management as well as finance and accounting.
Art, Design & Technology Track

SBS Bangkok, based in Lat Krabang, is a forthcoming bilingual international school, and part of the Arthit Ourairat Institution, offering the highly regarded IB PYP and Cambridge Secondary international curricula.
SBS Bangkok will also offer career focused tracks for students who do not wish to study the Cambridge curriculum in Upper Secondary. The tracks are aligned with the requirements from the Thai Ministry of Education and also Tertiary Institutions around the world.
It will be a full school admitting students from age 2 and education to age 18, or graduation, providing entry requirements to higher education.
In line with the group’s mission, it will emphasise cultivating curiosity, academic excellence and personal well being.
Unique features at a glance
SBS Bangkok will be the only IB PYP bilingual school in the area.
SBS Bangkok has established MOUs with a network of international Universities, enabling students in their final year to take University credit. This fast-track option means students can join select Universities in year 2 of higher education studies, saving parents money and saving students time.
The bilingual nature of the school also opens up opportunities in both Thailand and English speaking countries for higher education and career pathways.
SBS Bangkok will offer tailored tracks in the Secondary school enabling students to focus on their areas of special interest as they prepare for higher education.
The school will be non-selective, and in the tradition of AOI schools will add value to each student’s academics, rather than simply admit A grade students with preexpected exit grades.
SBS Bangkok will focus on what matters most to its target markets: an efficient use of resources and efforts towards adding value to a child’s skills and knowledge development, streamlined access to higher education, and expansion of higher education and career opportunities, rather than facilities and optional leisure programmes used by a minority of students
