HIGH HONORS FOR GAELS THEATRE GUILD
Excitement prevailed at the annual Marietta Tiberti Memorial Catholic Schools Spelling Bee, which took place on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the Jim3 House of Performing Arts. After 80 minutes of competition, only two spellers remained; however, Aidan Kennelley and Veronica Matthews kept the competition alive for 90 more minutes! In the end, Kennelley, an 8th grader at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton school, spelled “domiciliate” and “summitry” correctly to take first place in the competition and win the Marietta Tiberti Scholarship. Matthews, a seventh grader at St. Elizabeth, took second place and was a formidable challenger.
