6th Consecutive State Champions and National Champions Congratulations to the Bishop Gorman Football team as they won their 6th state championship in a row, beating Reed High School in the State Championship game. They finished the season 15-0 and were the consensus National Champions. Several of the Gaels received end of season and all-state Awards. The biggest awards went to sophomore quarterback, Tate Martell, who was named the Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year and Coach Tony Sanchez, who was named the US Army All-American Bowl National Coach of the Year.

Congratulations to Coach Tony Sanchez. On December 11th, Coach Sanchez left Bishop Gorman to accept the head coaching position at UNLV. He was 86-5 in six seasons with the Gaels. He leaves the program in good hands as his brother and Defensive Coordinator, Kenny Sanchez, has been named the new Head Coach of the BGHS program.
