BIRMINGHAM’S JEWISH LEGACY FEATURED IN MUSEUM'S PRESENTATION AT BALDWIN LIBRARY ON MARCH 9 AT 7 PM

In this final program of the museum’s spring lecture series, Birmingham’s historic diversity will focus on the Levinson’s-the first Jewish family in Birmingham What brought Morris and Gitel Levinson from Russia to Birmingham in 1896? How did technology and Woodward Avenue play a major role in their lives? What was it like for their children to grow up and go to school here? What famous politicians were directly descended from the Levinsons, and still have roots in Birmingham?

The Birmingham Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and children 5 and under and Friends members are free. Questions?
