Letters Lisa FROM

At our recent BioZyme® Dealer Retreat, we celebrated you—our exceptional dealers— and officially kicked off Sure Champ®’s 40th birthday. It was the perfect chance to reflect on how far we’ve come together and look down the road toward even more success. This year, we’re literally traveling across the country to recognize and “party” (in our own business way) with the exhibitors and families who have helped build the Sure Champ legacy.

One key lesson from these gatherings? Never get too comfortable. Celebrating wins is important— but planning for the future is what ensures we’ll keep having reasons to celebrate. That’s why sales diversification is one of BioZyme’s top five goals over the next three years.

Right now, most of BioZyme’s sales rely on the U.S. cattle market. That’s impressive—proof of our collective hard work—but also a sign that we need to broaden our base. We’re actively working to grow international sales, as well as our equine, sheep, goat, pet and backyard poultry businesses.

And speaking of chickens: the U.S. now boasts over 85 million backyard birds, rivaling dogs and cats. With the USDA and FDA channeling $1 billion into easing regulations and lowering egg costs, that number is only set to rise. As beef cow numbers tighten, the backyard flock keeps growing— highlighting why multiple revenue streams matter more than ever.

Here’s the real business takeaway:

• Markets shift. Even loyal customers or strong sectors can change overnight. Don’t wait for a slowdown—set aside time every day to chase new sales. It could be as simple as an hour spent prospecting.

• Use your strengths wisely. Diversifying doesn’t always mean chasing entirely new customers. Sometimes it means finding additional products or services that solve new problems for your existing base. Are you making the most of what sets you apart from competitors?

• Avoid getting boxed in. When a single revenue stream becomes your main lifeline, it often starts consuming all your focus and energy—robbing you of bandwidth to pursue growth. It’s far easier to build resilience early than to fix an imbalance later.

The biggest mistake? Waiting until you’re under pressure. Diversification done in a rush rarely ends well. The best time to explore new sales avenues is when things are stable—when you can make thoughtful decisions that protect the future of your business.

As we drive down this road to continued success— celebrating milestones like Sure Champ’s 40th birthday—we’re also laying the groundwork for the next 40 years. Thanks for being on this journey with us. Let’s keep finding smart ways to grow, together.

THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT BANNERS AND RIBBONS. IT’S ABOUT CHARACTER. COMMUNITY. GRIT. AND THAT’S SOMETHING WE’LL ALWAYS STAND BEHIND.

THANK YOU FOR LETTING US BE PART OF THE JOURNEY.

SURE CHAMP® TURNS 40

TAKES ITS BIRTHDAY TOUR ON THE ROAD

Sure Champ®, the brand that livestock exhibitors across the country and species have grown to know and trust, turns 40 this year. BioZyme® kicked off the Sure Champ Birthday Tour at the Dealer Retreat in Saint Joseph.

“It is time to amplify the Sure Champ brand,” said Lisa Norton, President and CEO. “Everyone looks forward to a celebration, so we figured what better way to celebrate than to bring the party to our endusers – in their element, at livestock shows.”

In addition to the Dealer Retreat, BioZyme staff either have or will take the Birthday Tour to multiple junior nationals, state fairs, and other livestock shows across the country from now until the end of the year. While at these shows, commemorative t-shirts and other birthday “gifts” will be given, while testimonials are gathered and product information is shared.

Birthday Flavors Introduced

To commemorate the 40th birthday, we’ve given two of our long-time products a flavor boost. Sure Champ® Cattle and Sure Champ® Appetite Plus® now come in birthday cake flavor, for a limited time. In addition to a fun, research-tested flavor, look for these favorite products to have limited edition packaging. The Sure Champ Cattle also comes with a special plastic cup, instead of the normal cardboard measuring cup.

Help us Celebrate

Want to know more about Sure Champ’s 40th birthday celebration? Follow along with the party on the Sure Champ social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We’ve created a special website, just for the celebration: www.surechamp. com/birthday.

Furthermore, you can see photos from all the tour stops on our Smug Mug account. Scan the QR Code to see the photos.

Stop by one of our Birthday Tour Stop locations and join the celebration. We always enjoy having dealers at our events, even if it is just to say hello.

Finally, share your photos with us. Do you have photos of customers purchasing the limited edition Sure Champ products in the commemorative

packaging? Send us photos! We also love seeing young people in the Sure Champ t-shirts – at a show, in your feed store or even at a local athletic event.

We know it takes effort to #preptowin, but with the assistance of Sure Champ products, the journey is definitely easier.

Sure Champ has come a long way in 40 years, and we appreciate the dealers for helping us grow the brand. Let’s make the next 40 just as exciting!

HOT COWS MAKE BAD MAMAS

The added heat can be debilitating to animals, especially when combined with humidity. Hot cows make bad mamas for several reasons.

First, if a cow tries to cool off in a pond or bunches under shade, their calf isn’t nursing. A calf that isn’t nursing isn’t gaining. Last we checked, the goal is to wean off pounds-heavy calves.

Next, with summer comes breeding season. Most of your customers are probably done breeding, but we want to keep them bred.

The realignment of the VitaFerm brands into the good, better, best – VitaFerm® ONE, Concept•Aid® and ReproMaxx™ – we have repositioned HEAT away from its own line into a technology, allowing us to incorporate it into more brands and lines than ever before! This lets you promote and market the HEAT technology to more customers, making a bigger impact.

What’s in the HEAT technology?

HEAT technology is comprised of:

• AO-Biotics® Amaferm®, the research-proven prebiotic that enhances digestibility

• A proprietary blend of essential oils supports animals when heat is a challenge.

• Garlic that helps deter insects.

“The proprietary blend of capsaicin and essential oils in HEAT technology helps improve blood flow to the extremities,” said Chris Cassady, Ph.D., BioZyme Director of Beef Technical Sales. “When the benefit of improved rumen function of Amaferm is tied with the HEAT technology, you can be assured your cows will be out grazing even in the most extreme temperatures and not huddled under the shade trees.”

How to Position HEAT Products

Heat stress occurs when the animal’s ability to release heat becomes inhibited due to the overwhelming high temperatures. Typically, heat stress isn’t caused by excessive heat alone, but is also triggered by high humidity and a decrease in air movement. Livestock, like humans, are most comfortable in their thermoneutral zone. Remember, heat stress begins when the temperature reaches 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so in most parts of the country, animals have already experienced heat stress

this summer. VitaFerm products with the HEAT technology should be flying out of your warehouses.

Not everyone will have the same HEAT season. We get that. However, you can position HEAT products as long as temps are steadily above 70 degrees.

“The unfortunate part is everybody’s situation is different based on regional climate differences,” Cassady said.

“Where a backgrounder in Texas might have to deal with severe heat for seven months, someone in North Dakota might have extreme heat for just two months. However, the commonality is understanding the cascade of events that go on with heat stress –symptoms to look for and what to do.”

Heat stress reduces intake and gain. Mineral with the HEAT technology helps cattle push through and stay consistent on performance when temperatures rise.

BIOZYME DEALER RETREAT FEATURES

EDUCATION, NETWORKING, AWARDS

BioZyme dealers from across the country gathered in Saint Joseph, Missouri, for the 2025 Dealer Retreat. On the “Road to Success” dealers had the chance to collaborate with one another, learn about the latest BioZyme research, innovation and best business practices.

Dealers divided into six interactive sessions to learn:

• Trying Uniqueness: an introduction to the new pallet topper program

• Getting More Bang for Your Buck: how to capture more market share

• Look the Part: setting up in-store displays and using point-of-sale items

• Constantly Brainstorm New Ideas: discussing new ideas dealers would like from BioZyme

• Use Technology to Your Advantage: learning about the BioZyme technologies and how to position them

• Think Psychology: effectively pricing and marketing for profit

These topics will also be Dealer Webinars added to the On Demand trainings in the Dealer Center once a month until the end of 2025.

Want to learn more about Small Pack Products that boost profitability AND fit in the pallet topper? Scan the QR Code to hear Lynsey Whitacre, Ph.D., discuss “How to Open the Door with Small Pack.”

Dealer Retreat also kicked off the Sure Champ® Birthday Tour, where we are celebrating 40 years of Sure Champ for the rest of 2025. We heard more about the evolvement of this innovative product for show livestock, had birthday cake and recognized two dealers who have carried Sure Champ as long as

BioZyme has been tracking individual brand sales – 18 years. Both Falling Timber Farms, Missouri, and Shawnee Milling/Shawnee Feed Center, Oklahoma, have sold Sure Champ for at least 18 years.

The final morning of the Retreat included a panel discussion of our partners, including Shane Bedwell, American Hereford Association; Doug Collard, Specialty Risk Insurance; Brett Spader, American-International Charolais Association; Brian McNabb, DVM. They discussed topics like the future of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cyber insurance, collaborating with dealers and how to work with young people as they transition from junior exhibitors to producers.

After presenting dealer awards, keynote speaker Nick Morrison challenged the group to navigate roadblocks on the road to success with a willingness to adapt. Nick’s professional bull riding career came to a sudden stop with multiple spine injuries. He left attendees with these three challenges when a roadblock stops them in their tracks:

1.Don’t get bitter. “Bitterness is the destroyer of happiness,” he said. “You can get bitter, or you can get better. You can’t do both.”

2.Remember the 15-minute rule. Take 15 minutes to reflect, regardless of if you win or lose. How will you learn from your mistakes and make better choices next time?

3.Control your mentality. “Mentality is a characteristic of your mind,” What do the fun, successful people do? Learn from them and mimic them!

Same Pallet. More Product. Bigger Profit.

As a dealer, every order you place is an investment—not just in product, but in shipping, inventory, and sales opportunity. That’s why BioZyme® is excited to introduce an innovation designed to help you get more out of every pallet: the Pallet Topper Program.

Whether you’re trying to diversify your offering, boost margin, or stock customer-favorite small pack products without paying for another shipment, the Pallet Topper Program gives you a smarter way to ship—and a simpler way to sell.

What is a Pallet Topper?

The Pallet Topper is a heavy-duty box that fits securely on top of a standard BioZyme pallet of mineral or pellet bags. Instead of leaving that valuable vertical space empty, the Topper holds small pack products such as:

• Liquids (up to 2.5 gallons)

• Gels

• Minerals and pellets under 20 lb. (including the ALL NEW 12 lb. DuraFerm and Vitalize Equine minerals)

This means you can now receive your full-sized mineral or pellet orders and your high-margin, smallpack products in the same shipment—organized, protected, and ready to sell.

How the Pallet Topper

Works:

1.Add Full Pallets: Start your order in the Dealer Center or via phone with at least one full pallet of minerals or pellets.

2.Build Your Topper: Use the Pallet Topper Builder on the Order Form to Add “Topper Products”. Look for the “Topper Product” icon and text next to qualifying products.

3.Place Your Order: Submit your order online.

4.Receive More Value: Your topper ships with your pallet.

Quick Facts:

• One Pallet Topper per full pallet

• Toppers not available on pallets of tubs or additives

• Freight costs typically remain unchanged

• Inspect Topper for damage upon arrival and report issues immediately

The Pallet Topper Program is more than just a clever packaging update. It’s an opportunity to strengthen your inventory strategy, offer new products, and serve customers with greater speed and variety.

Ready to Try It?

Visit the Dealer Center and look for the Pallet Topper icon when placing your order. Or, if you’d rather talk it through, give us a call at 816-238-3326. We’ll walk you through building your first Topper order and help you get started.
