To:
Thermo Fisher Scientific U.S. Customers and Suppliers
From:
Richard Spoor Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Regarding:
Thermo Fisher Coronavirus (COVID-19) Critical Infrastructure Status
During these challenging times, I want to reassure you that Thermo Fisher Scientific is working closely with U.S. federal, state and local governments to ensure we remain operational to support the needs of customers and suppliers in all 50 states and territories. Remaining operational is particularly critical right now given the role we play in supporting customers like first responders, public and private research institutions, pharmaceutical drug manufacturing companies, medical device manufacturers, and clinical testing labs that all play a critical role in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. As more cities and states have enacted “stay at home” and other business closure requirements, Thermo Fisher sites and service operations continue to operate under state and local exemptions that designate Thermo Fisher as an essential, life-sustaining and critical infrastructure business. Thermo Fisher sites and service teams that are serving in this critical role include: •
• • •
•
All distribution centers and warehouses, including the Fisher Scientific and Fisher Healthcare distribution channels, supporting the distribution of products to customers designated as critical infrastructure companies. All drug development and manufacturing sites. All Fisher Clinical sites supporting clinical trials. All Thermo Fisher sites doing research, development and manufacturing for laboratory products, analytical instruments, life science tools, biopharma production and specialty diagnostics products. Instrument and equipment field service teams and customer on-site service teams supporting the ongoing operations of our customers.
