Bio-Zyme NZ Ltd is a New Zealand privately owned company which started from humble beginnings and has steadily grown into a large sustainable business manufacturing 3 environmentally preferable cleaning and degreasing products with the addition of our washroom solution and applicators for both the commercial and domestic markets.
Our head office and manufacturing is in Christchurch where we have continued since 2005 doing extensive research and development of these truly unique products. Testing on all products is done both internally and externally to ensure the products are always keeping up with what is happening in our environment. Our sales team throughout New Zealand is passionate and caring. We do on-site training and evaluations for customers to help understand and get the most out of our Bio-Zyme products.
Bio-Zyme not only meets Eco Choice Aotearoa standards but has gained accreditations with BioGro, MPI approved C31, C32, Dairy approved and recognised. Bio-Zyme has also been tested by Hill Laboratories NZ, Eurofins Scientific Australia Laboratories and WaterCare NZ - ask about our test results; they are available on request.

Bio-Zyme is a naturally fermented enzyme product made from naturally sourced plant based ingredients
WHAT DOES BIO-ZYME DO?
Bio-Zyme acts as a catalyst to stimulate existing bacterial action in speeding up the breakdown (degradation) of organic matter. It also biochemically eliminates offensive organic odours immediately upon application.
WHAT SORT OF ODOUR PROBLEMS WILL BIO-ZYME ELIMINATE?
Bio-Zyme eliminates all odours associated with organic matter, particularly the hydrogen sulphide and ammonia problems occurring with human and animal faeces.
WILL BIO-ZYME HARM THE ENVIRONMENT?
Because Bio-Zyme is made from natural plant based products with low toxicity and readily biodegradable surfactants BioZyme would breakdown quickly in waterways as there is always soil on the bottom and sides of any waterway. Bio-Zyme reacts with soils and starts degrading quickly, this means there is no long term accumulation of Bio-Zyme in the water and soils. Bio-Zyme has a very low impact on the environment. All cleaners have some effect on the environment that is why the product must be used as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

SAFE FOR THE USER?
Again, because Bio-Zyme is made from natural plant based products, it is safe for the user and anyone else who is in the vicinity of where it is being applied.
The major active ingredients in Bio-Zyme products are mentioned by US EPA as known to be less hazardous to human health, including allergic reactions and asthma.
IS BIO-ZYME 100% PLANT BASED?
No it has low toxicity surfactants added.
If not 100% plant based how did it get BioGro accreditation?
The ingredients in Bio-Zyme are mainly organic based and there is no genetically modified organisms added. ie: salt can have BioGro accreditation it is not plant based but mined naturally.
DO BIO-ZYME PRODUCTS CONTAIN NON-IONIC
SURFACTANTS?
A non-ionic surfactant has a hydrophobic tail (oil loving) and a hydrophilic head (water loving), but carries no charge (neutral).
Yes, Bio-Zyme products have nonionic surfactants.
Surfactants used are of the lowest toxicity and neutral class.
Bio-Zyme Products do not contain any cationic or anionic surfactants.

WHAT IS THE PERSISTENCE AND DEGRADABILITY OF BIO-ZYME IN THE ENVIRONMENT?
Bio-Zyme products are Readily Biodegradable: Natural ability to biodegrade to their natural state, when subjected to sunlight, water and soils from 60-100% in 28 days. Not considered to be a hazard in the environment.

2. Peel off red backing to expose double sided tape.
3. Adhere the bracket to the internal wall of the toilet cistern.
Press hard to adhere. Note: Allow enough room to fit the INcistern. Check water level of flush.
4. Leave for 12 hours before hanging INcistern bottle onto the bracket.

6. Holding the INcistern in the upright position, unscrew the lid.

Dear Shelley
Wellington Water, on behalf of Wellington City Council, looks after trade waste discharges and sewage system maintenance in Wellington City.
In August 2019, Bio-Zyme NZ Limited approached Wellington Water for an opportunity to trial their product’s performance for grease & fat reduction in sewage pump stations and pipelines. After Wellington Water set up the parameters and location for the trial, Bio -Zyme Ltd organized and paid for the product, which is known as “Industrial”, to be dosed into wastewater system via a local restaurant. To demonstrate the results, we did CCTV both before and after the trial, I have attached some before and after images from the footage below.
Comparing the footage, it’s obvious that there is significantly less fat in the “After”. Although we have to take into account that the lockdown period might contribute to the cleaner state of the pipes, I still believe the product was the main cause of this fat reduction. Going forward, I am going to recommend “Industrial” to our operations group as a possibly more feasible option for pump stations that’ve been suffering from fat blockages.
