The HVTS-G is a complete unit with a grate design that allows the combustion air to be distributed in different zones. Automatic ash handling with an ash scraper integrated under the grate cart and internal ash- and dust augers means that the maintenance can be kept at a minimal. The brick lined furnace and the ceramic after burner vault make sure that the combustion temperature is at the desired level before the flue gases leaves the furnace, which is the key to a clean combustion process. The distribution of combustion air is handled by primary-, secondary- and tertiary air fans which adds the air through holes in the grate and through nozzles in the combustion chamber. The primary air is distributed in different zones with throttle regulation to facilitate operating at low loads. The air distribution is adapted considering fuel kind and fuel moisture count. The HVTS-G is also equipped with flue gas recirculation. The flue gas canals have been designed so that the dust particles will fall down to the bottom of the boiler and can be transported out by the interal augers together with ash and cinder. The boiler can of course be equipped with different types of flue gas cleaning and external automatic discharge of ash and dust.

Automatic operation The fuel is being fed into the furnace through the front of the boiler. The combustion takes place on a stepped grate which pushes the fuel forward while drying and burning it. The ash and the dust is being handled automatically by internal scrapers and augers.
