Mechanical Presses The construction of the mechanical briquetting press is equal to the construction of an eccentric press. A constantly rotating eccentric is connected to a press piston, that is compressing the raw material into a conical compression die. Model

Higher performance than the competition due to double feeding system for our biggest mechanical presses and an excellent capacity control system that continuously measures the speed of the briquette string and adjust the speed of the dosing screw with frequency controlled motor. Long lifetime for special die system and reduced maintenance cost based on a wear ring with a typical lifetime of 500 – 2000 hours hours. Advanced Briquetting Control System CAPACITY CONTROL AND REGULATION • Quantity regulation: We want a constant amount of briquettes. Fx. 1.200 kg/hour. We have placed a cogwheel connected to an encoder on the cooling line. By reading this signal we are regulating the frequency encoder on the dosing screw up and down to maintain a constant quantity due to a g This option p is normally y chosen in connection with the saw or PI regulation. breaker. The regulation can compensate for variation in the density of the raw material and/or particle size. • Capacity regulation: We are measuring the power consumption of the compressions screws. By typing in a max. load on the screw the system will regulate the dosing screw so that we over time will get maximum output from the briquetting press. When the press shuts down it will normally stop with the Piston in forward position because of the weight from the flywheel. The heat in the compression chamber will then burn the surface of the piston to the Briquette sitting in the main die. Therefore the p press will use excessive force to remove the p piston from the briquette on the next startup sequence. The overload- anti wear function is a shutdown procedure preventing this situation by always ensure that the p piston doesn't stop p in the forward p position ensuring g less energy consumption and less wear on the machine when starting up.

That means that the manager can sit with a computer connected to the network and monitor the press. It is also possible to completely operate the machine this way. All functions can be controlled remotely. • Economical Solution. BP-pro BP pro Briquetting Control System • Parameters menu with access for normal user operations. operations Expert level with advanced setup is protected from the operator so only trained personnel can access this setup. Up to 15 levels of passwords are supported but only 2 levels are currently y implemented p • Expert level is for very trained customers. CFN engineering level is not for customer because it can harm the machine badly if wrong parameters is entered to the system.

By typing in a max. load on the main motor the system will regulate the dosing screw so that we over time i will ill get maximum i output ffrom the h B Briquetting i i press. • Normally there is a big variation in the current but due to very advanced mathematically software routines in the PI regulation ensure a very steady operation. • The system can fully automatic adapt for minor variation in the raw material both in material type, yp , p particle size and also on the humidity. • This regulation gives the optimal amount of briquettes and ensure maximum Briquetting time time. • This regulation is normally for industrial briquettes but is also usefully when making consumer briquettes. 65 Years of Briquetting Experience

The system gives a warning before service becomes necessary. y When the hour counter reaches 900 hours it will start blinking and when it hits 1.000 hours it will start flashing. It also shows a warning message to call CFN for service. (Hours can be setup on expert level). •Easy, flexibel and cost optimized. Very easy to implement new features. CFN CFN makes a test of actual capacity and find optimal Piston and Die size. • We equip the Press with the needed tools and send the Unit to costumer. • At Costumer site: Fit the Unit to the ground with 4 bolts. • Mount the cooling line (15 meter is included.) • Add electrical p power to the control p panel. • Put raw material to the Silo. • Push the start button and your are ready to Press! • The Briquetting Control System starts and stops the briquette production according to your need, with the result that the briquetting press solves your waste problem without you giving it a thought. • It is so easy that we have chosen to demonstrate the concept here at this trade show !!!
