WELCOME TO ÄFAB ÄFAB is an independent consulting company which specializes in the field of small-scale bio-energy. Since 1984 the company has been involved in the following business areas: • Product testing and development of small scale bio-energy heating systems. • Education and training courses on the use of bio-energy heating systems and/or the use of bio-energy in general. • Business matchmaking within the field of small-scale bio-energy heating systems. By offering this broad product service, ÄFAB is therefore considered to be both a local and national development company aimed at helping and supporting both small and large scale bio-energy companies. In order to achieve this aim ÄFAB is often working in close co-operation with local, national and international authorities, universities/colleges and for the interests of the consumer. Today, ÄFAB has a close co-operation with the majority of the manufacturing companies upon the Swedish market, within wood log/chip/pellet and grain - combustion technology. Our office and laboratory is located within Lidkoping in the West Gotaland region of Sweden. Much of the Swedish bio-energy industry is concentrated within this part of the country as well. ÄFAB LABORATORY The laboratory is open for all manufacturers, inventors or agents who wants to test or further develop their products. It offers a precise testing facility in combination with great knowledge and experience. Typical tests include recording and evaluating the very important technical and environmental performance of different products.
TRAINING AND COURSES ÄFAB’s custom designed courses are aimed at a wide range of different occupation groups and mix both theory and practice. We can arrange courses in for example, wood log heating, wood pellet/chip heating, accumulation technology and bio-energy within agriculture all over Europe and the USA. We can also offer special education courses for the operating and measuring of discharges, both within our laboratory and out in the field. We provide education and training courses to both professionals and to the public.
ÄFAB EXHIBITION ÄFAB also hosts an exhibition centre of small scale bio-energy, focusing primarily on modern bio-energy technology. ÄFAB’s exhibition centre provides the much needed exposure necessary for new products to grow. ÄFAB’s exhibition centre can be hired for promotional campaigns, business meetings and/or other activities . ÄFAB’s exhibition centre provides a physical meeting place where for example, manufacturers can meet consumers and give competent and objective energy advice and guidance.
CONSULTANCY With more than 20 years experience within all kinds of bio-energy ÄFAB is one of the most well-known consultanties in Sweden. We are working closely with many scientists at Swedish universities but also running a large numbers of project by ourselves. We then implement these results into producers’ equipment.
