This guide was created in consultation with a number of SFU offices focused on supporting students throughout their time at SFU. The aim is to provide faculty members a directory of available supports open to graduate students.
Recognizing the importance of a supportive academic environment, this guides outlines the key resources vailable to students in need.

Health & Counselling
Individual support for students from various mental health professionals including registered clinical counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and mental health nurses.
SFU Ombudsperson
Independent and impartial resource for students dealing with procedural or fairness concerns. Available to students who need to discuss an issue in confidence.

ADVOCACY & CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Graduate Student Society Advocate and Policy Advisor
Graduate student advocate available to support students needing advice, including attending appeals, intervening in issues, and more. This office is completely confidential.
Human Rights Office
Support for students experiencing discrimination orharassment based on a protected ground (sexual, racial, etc.) and need to discuss their options.

Global Student Centre (GSC)
