New Switch Online features revealed, including cloud saves Yesterday Nintendo finally unveiled the full Switch Online features that we will soon be paying for. And starting with the price, the service will cost $20 per year, or $4 per month. You can also get a 3month subscription for $8. Compared to Sony and Microsofts offerings, Nintendos is more than half the price. What are we getting for $20 per year? For starters, Switch will finally (finally!) get cloud saves where players can save their games in the cloud should anything happen to the console. Members will also get access to classic NES games on the Switch, starting with an initial offering of 20 games, including Super Mario Bros. 3, Donkey Kong, and The Legend of Zelda. Finally, the membership will give players access to online multiplayer. Right now that service is free, but after the service launches, players will have to subscribe to Switch Online to play online multiplayer. The Switch Online feature will launch in September. And all in all, it seems like a good value for Switch owners.
