The name of DIZO is originated from the ideology of customization. The main goal is satisfying customers’ needs with our bikes as if it is customized, customer satisfaction is the most important core value that DIZO always keeps in mind. Ever since DIZO manufactured the first bike, satisfying customers’ needs has become the motive that keeps us moving forward. DIZO has also been applying its ideology of satisfying customers’ needs on the development of new products.

Brand Vision

Since 1987, Advanced International Multitech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “AIM”) has been working closely with world class road bike brands on the joint development and manufacturing of quality carbon fiber road bikes. With a nearly 30-year experience of manufacturing, in 2016, AIM formally revealed its self-owned brand “DIZO”, which focuses on providing the most professional carbon fiber road bikes.

Sponsorship for Professional cyclists Masterly Craftsmanship DIZO products have shown the manufacturing capability of Taiwanese bicycle industry. Each DIZO product is made of carbon fiber and manufactured by DIZO professional craftsmen at its manufacturing plant in Kaohsiung. Successful products are the result of teamwork. DIZO engineers, craftsmen and various professions are dedicated to achieve the best results in terms of quality during the production, which includes the manufacturing of carbon fiber prepreg, the cutting and the layup of the prepreg, the forming of the frame, the spraying of the paint, and the strict quality standards as well as the bike assembly.

DIZO never compromises on quality or safety. To ensure the quality of the bikes, the top quality of carbon fiber from Japan is selected for the frame manufacturing. To ensure the safety of the riders, DIZO applies the quality standard that is 20% more strict than ISO and EN test standard to all the bikes in all tests. It is proven that DIZO is dedicated to providing the best quality and safety to riders, as DIZO bikes have been certified by UCI, and have been awarded as “Taiwan Excellence” in the past years.

DIZO has been continuously sponsoring professional and young cyclists in Taiwan. Liu Shu Ming, former cyclist of Taiwan national team, is invited to be DIZO’s brand ambassador. DIZO has also been the main sponsor of Lin-Yuan cycling team for years. Through the cooperation with professional cyclists, the tests and feedback provided by these professional cyclists are important to DIZO for the continuous improvement on the bikes. Each feedback is also taken into consideration in order to develop the topmost quality road bikes.

Apart from sponsorship for cyclists, DIZO has been constantly sponsoring cycling races in Taiwan. DIZO is dedicated to striving its utmost to offer opportunities for local cyclists to gain experience through the cycling races.

Strengthend full carbon BB

CNT Technology

Weight Balance Optimization

The full carbon bottom bracket forming technology is designed by DIZO. Using full carbon BB instead of aluminum decreases the weight of the frame and drastically increases the stiffness and strength of BB itself. It also minimizes the BB deformation while paddling to ensure the efficiency of power transfer. The optimized thickness of the BB that attaches larger cross sectional size with tubes also provides riders much excellent riding experience

DIZO utilizes CNT (Carbon Nanotubes) technology and add it into epoxy resin in DIZO carbon fiber frames, in which CNT fill the gaps between sheets of carbon fiber and therefore less epoxy resin is required. The use of CNT not only leads to the decreased weight of the framesets, but also increases the excellent performances of the frame flex and its fracture toughness.

The frame and the fork are repetitively stimulated in order for DIZO engineers to adjust the weight balance of the frameset.

The adjustment improves downhill riding stability and offers riders much better controllability and riding experience.

High Stiffness Fork-Forming Technology

Rear Triangle Impact Resistance Strengthening

Toray T1100 Carbon Fiber

With the assistances of repetitive stimulations and tests on the fork, DIZO develops a high stiffness fork-forming technology, in which DIZO engineers exert the top end carbon fiber sheets on the fork and appropriately increase the cross sectional size of fork blades. This has ensured the lateral stiffness and impact resistance of the fork are drastically strengthened.

Rear triangle of the frame have been tested by stimulating different levels of tube deformation. The feedback and result are analyzed by DIZO engineers in order to strike a best balance between stiffness and flex of the rear triangle.

To achieve better stiffness and impact resistance of the frame, DIZO uses carbon fiber materials with multiple grades of modulus for carbon layup designing, including Toray T1100 that has also been applied into the design.

Inner Smooth Molding Technology

Finite Element Analysis

X-ray Detection Process

The high molecular polymer has been used on the frame forming process to create a smooth inner wall within the frame. It ensures the precision as well as tightness of carbon lamination and also reduces the areas that have to be spliced. The technology is applied along with airbags for the smoother frame surface, which prevents decreased durability and stiffness from rough surface.

To develop the most suitable carbon layup, DIZO utilizes the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of the computer aided engineering (CAE) for the stimulations of stiffness on each part of the frame. The layup design is selected based on the analysis with the uses of different properties of materials, this also enables DIZO R&D engineers to keep improving the products and increasing the quality of the bicycles manufacturing.

In order to ensure the forming quality of the frames, X-ray detection technology is implemented to examine whether there is any defect or air bubbles within the carbon layups.
