Making a repair is quick and simple

STEP 2

Step 1 - Cut either side of the leak and remove the damaged section pipe*. Deburr the two pipe ends or insert pipe liners (as appropriate to the type of pipe). Mark the insertion depths on both pipe ends* Step 2 – Identify the slip end of the slip coupling and slide onto one of the pipes (slip end first) until it reaches the stop (indicated by a line of the coupling body).

* Please reference the SharkBite Technical guidelines regarding the length of pipe that should be removed and the pipe insertion depth (both of which are dependent on the diameter of the pipe being used)

STEP 3

Step 3 – Align the second pipe to the fitting socket and use the appropriate colour coded disconnecting clip or tongs squeeze the collar whilst sliding the slip coupling over the other pipe until it reaches the insertion depth mark.

The repair is now complete and watertight
