T
rust is the foundation of any business. In the case of Ropo Capital, the statement is more than true. The group serves its clients by ensuring that vital processes along the value chain of the receivables lifecycle are covered, from invoice delivery to sales ledger and receivables management – in other words, it is responsible for the core of all financial transactions. “High-quality service and trust are the foundation for everything we do”, says the Ropo Capital Group’s Chief Brand & Communications Officer Jenni Jantunen. “Our clients expect us to be fully transparent, and that is what we are committed to.”
Sustainability indicators available to everyone In 2021, Ropo decided to take transparency to the next level. During Covid-19, Ropo committed to annual sustainability reporting in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and renewed its group-wide sustainability strategy. “Sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do, but now it is part of the group strategy. Anyone can look more closely into our sustainability principles and evaluate our success,” summarizes Jantunen, who was the lead in building the group’s sustainability strategy.
The environmental impact of invoicing is of interest Ropo’s service is based on its own technology, automation, and real-time data access. The single service provider model streamlines the entire invoice lifecycle into an easy-to-track entity and provides full visibility into all stages of the invoicing process. “We feel that with our services we can positively influence the carbon footprint of invoicing and promote sustainable credit management. It’s essential to grant credit responsibly and minize the carbon footprint of invoice delivery,” Jantunen describes. According to Jantunen, increasing the electronic invoicing rate is central, but it is equally important to ensure that the entire supply chain, starting with the logistics partners, meets the sustainability requirements set for the invoice lifecycle service.
