Every year, in preparation of our new product launch and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, we prepare a little booklet for our partners. And, I always enjoy this opportunity to say a few words in the Chairman’s session. This year, as I was told to prepare the usual introduction, I was reminded by my colleague that the year 2009 marks the Tenth Anniversary of PerceptionDIGITAL. My memory flashed back and I recalled many exciting moments in the history of this dynamic company many of us have called home.

CEO’s Message One of my childhood favorite TV shows was the “Six Million Dollar Man”. As a little boy with infinite imagination, six million was a huge figure and the fact that technologies could help us triumph any adversaries absolutely fascinated me.

I suppose that was one of my early testimonies of infatuation with technologies. I am not sure whether the catch phrase in the show, “We can re-build them; we have the technologies” has any impact on me. But, the question kept lingering in my head: how far can we use technologies to further enrich our lives. It would certainly be difficult to “rebuild” a human body after something has gone wrong, but it would sure be possible to prevent the need to rebuild it in the first place. The American Heart Association, the British Heart Association, and many other health organizations have repeatedly been warning us that we need to maintain a level of exercise. 10,000 steps a day is much promoted, for instance. But, how do we count our exercise? And, how does our body condition improve? How do we keep track? And, as a technology leader, what should PerceptionDIGITAL do?

Live-Lite TM series was born with the beliefs that we ought to be able to help ourselves with simple to use technologies.

Our new PD6800 series uses a sophisticated algorithm to help users count the number of steps they have walked or run, eliminating false trigger. The technologies leverage on the state of the art 3 dimensional sensor.

Not only that, it allows users to measure their heart

rate and enjoy music anytime during their exercise routine. Our technologies also allows users to share and monitor peer’s progress on the Internet through social networking sites such as Facebook ® and our proprietary HeartPal TM software. Likewise, we had perfected and patented technologies in our ground breaking Heart Rate Monitoring and headphone combo technologies in our PD 30XX. Now users can wear the headphone, jog or exercise, and measure their heart rate continuously while using their favorite iPod, Nokia phones, or any other music playback device. This of course comes together again our proprietary HeartPal TM software for status tracking. I am particularly proud for the achievement. I do hope that by realizing how much we are stressing our heart during exercise and daily routines, we can help one determine and do the right level of exercise.

Today we have filed 39 patents in the United States, Europe and China. Innovation is in our blood.

Yet, we understand the challenges our partners face. We don’t stand still. Our design supply chain management business model allows us to provide thorough support: from idea evaluation, roadmap planning, firmware engineering, industrial design, mechanical structure design, production, to final shipment. In the technology arena, in addition to the well being technologies exhibited in the PD 68X X series, we understand the significance of the twin engineering efforts in firmware design and multidisciplinary integration. This year, we are unveiling our efforts in the Google Android TM development and fur thering our integration firmware in multimedia and wireless signal processing, mechanical design and Internet compatibility. Today, we have digital TV that is water proof and multimedia device that is compatible with Facebook ® and YouTube ® In the corporate side,

we are pleased to announce our imminent move to a brand new 20,000 sq. feet design facility at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology building in Shenzhen. We have also completely migrated our back end system to SAP.
