The Peace Country Gleaners would like to thanks all those who have donated their time, spare vegetables, and provided financial donations over the past 8 years. Those who have proce produced larger gardens to provide donations each year have provided the PCGS with much desired work and they would love to see this continue to increase in the following years.

The PCGS has seen a need for more space to store their donations as they are unable to store enough vegetables to keep busy throughout the winter. As the PCGS grows, so do the needs of the hungry they provide meals for and the PCGS is eager to continue to provide. The PCGS has decided to construct a 60’x60’ addition with a 22’x30’ cooler to the east side of the existing building.

Although much of the costs to date have been covered by your generous donations, there is still much work to be done and the PCGS is still in need of your financial support.

We process close to 500,000 pounds of vegetables each year. With the donated peas and pot barley we deliver 7,000,000 servings of product to the Okanagan Gleaners in Oliver, BC where it is mixed and packaged with their vegetables into 100 serving packages and shipped to third world countries where so many people don’t have very much to eat.
