The Position
Northern Lights Gas Co-op Ltd. is a member-owned not-for-profit natural gas utility comprised of 4101 services located in Mackenzie County. Our office is in La Crete and the position will be based at this location. We are looking for a highly organized, motivated individual, with strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and who is adept at providing support, coaching, and mentoring to staff within the Operations and Administration departments. This position provides direction to staff by defining work plans that align with operational, strategic, and business planning priorities. The General Manager is responsible for day-to-day planning functions, ensuring that reporting policies and procedures are accurately followed, and ensuring reports are produced in a timely manner. The role is also responsible for assisting in staff development and continuing education.

Co-operate and work with the Board of Directors, in developing and maintaining partnerships with the Federation of Alberta Gas Co-ops Ltd and its Membership, Federal and Provincial Governments, municipalities, and Investor-Owned Utilities

Make sure all work is done in accordance with the Operations and Maintenance practices Manual and other regulations.
Oversee all facets of the Co-operative.

Scott is also a member of the Alberta Auctioneers' Association and will be showing his auction talent in our 2-day spring auction. Scott is also a member of the Alberta Spinal Cord Association and does many fundraisers for them. He also speaks in schools to help teens with mental disorders. This event is expected to lift up any person with any kind of stress life brings. This event is by donation only. Proceeds will go to the local Heimstaed Lodge & Alberta Spinal Assoc. Sandhills Pre-Kindergarten (PUF) Program 2023-2024 School Year
The intent of the program is to provide early intervention to address the specific needs of the individual child and better prepare him/her for schooling.
To be eligible for the program:
• Children MUST be 3 or 4 on or before December 31, 2023 to qualify for PUF funding. Classes will be capped, with priority given to 4 year olds.
◦ Students that are 5 or older on December 31, 2023 are no longer eligible for PUF funding. They will be enrolled in kindergarten classes and have their needs supported within inclusive education.
• An assessment by a qualified professional of a severe disability or moderate to severe language delay must be provided to school authorities.
