What do you do to wind down and relax after a hard week at work?

My favourite way to relax and wind down is by playing or watching football. I’m usually either playing Saturdays or heading down to Valley Parade to watch Bradford City. Unfortunately I can’t get my wife and kids to share the same passion.

What is your ideal holiday destination and why?

Japan has always been a place I’ve been fascinated by and would be the first place I would go if I ever won the lottery. I love the mix of Japan’s traditional culture, the history, the amazing scenery as well as the hi-tech innovation.

What is your favourite food?

I’m a big fan of all things chicken, but my absolute favourite would be a good quality chicken and mushroom pie.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

When I was younger I really wanted to be a documentary maker. I love interacting with people and hearing their stories.

What is your favourite film?

The Lord of the Rings trilogy would be up there as my favourite films. It’s hard to separate them. I could happily watch the full extended trilogy from start to finish (all 11 hours).

Tell us something we don’t know about you …

In 2009 I had to have an ileorectal anastomosis which involved my large bowel being completely removed.

Congratulations to our Bulletin competition winners!

In the Summer 2021 issue of Bulletin we teamed up with RHS Harlow Carr Gardens as part of our Kindness campaign to offer a lucky member of staff and their family or friends free entry to the gardens followed by tea at Betty’s Tearooms. A runner-up also had the fab opportunity to visit the gardens themselves.

Congratulations to Winner Rachel Fleming and Runner-up Laura Holt! We hope you both enjoyed the gardens in their autumnal glory or lit up for winter. Pictured is Laura and her family enjoying the garden at night under the glow of festive lights.
