The Big Country HBA and Board of Directors are thrilled to have you join us for the 2024 Fall Showcase Tour of Homes. Our mission is to provide our members with the tools and support necessary to grow their businesses. This event is specifically designed to assist our builder members who are eager to sell their inventory.

This year’s showcase open house will feature 11 homes built in various Abilene subdivisions. Enjoy this self-guided tour, free of charge, and discover the latest designs, features, and amenities from the area’s best builders. You can visit the homes at your leisure and at no cost. Frank Langley and his wife Janis, Abilene natives who graduated from Cooper in 1975, relocated to Arlington to attend the University of Texas Frank pursued Architecture, while Janis focused on Art Education.

They have also mentored their son, Graham, now an accomplished home builder, and their daughter, Hilary, a realtor. The Lantrip's Custom Homes, Inc. team now comprises Jeremy and Kristie McBrayer, along with Joey and Kate Gonzalez. Each team member holds a specific role within the company, ranging from site planning for new construction, selections, quality control, advertising, sales, and more. The various team members are also very active within the industry to ensure that our industry thrives in these unpredictable times.

Jeremy McBrayer, President of the Big Country Home Builders Association in 2022, previously served on the board for seven years. He also served on the Texas Association of Builders Board for seven years and the National Association of Builders for three years. Currently, he is the chair of the TAB Young Professional Council. His wife Kristie has served on the BCHBA board for two years and on various committees within the Texas Association of Builders.

Kate Gonzales, currently serving as First Vice President of the BCHBA Professional Women in Building, has been an engaged member for four years. Presently, she holds the position of Chair for the TAB Professional Women in Building recognized at the state level.

Gene served in various roles within the Texas Association of Builders, including as President in 2022. He also held positions such as Membership Chair and HomePac Chair and has been active on both local and national boards for over a decade.

Mark grew up in the metroplex, graduated from Abilene Christian University and has been building great custom homes, speculative homes, remodeling and some home additions in the Abilene area for twenty years.

He comes to building as a 3rd generation builder.Terri, his wife, helps with designing and picking out selections for speculative and customers who want some advice and help in selections She also works at ACU Some of the developments Mark has recently built in include Southern Cross, Palmetto at Griffith Lake, The Tributes at Double Eagle and Elm Creek Mark will build on your lot or will help you find one to your liking and build with you there Once the home is completed, a donation to a non-profit organization of your choice is made in your name

For hobbies Mark spends time at the local gun club shooting and competing in sporting clay tournaments and fund-raising events.

Mark has served as president for the local Home Builders Association and is currently serving on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity.

Graham Langley's interest in home design and construction was sparked by his father, Frank, who initiated home building in 1995. Working side by side with his father at Countryside Homes during his upbringing and early career, Graham later ventured into his own business, My Countryside Homes. Despite this, the father-son team manages both companies closely as a family.

Sharing an office, Frank and Graham collaborate extensively and even utilize shared subcontractors. Together, the two companies construct 25-30 homes annually and have aspirations for further expansion. Graham highlighted the reputation of their homes for quality, energy efficiency, and exceptional design.

Both businesses emphasize a practical approach and provide complimentary in-house home plans for clients. Graham stressed the importance of maintaining open communication throughout the design process and beyond completion.

Graham, a 2007 graduate of Jim Ned High School, pursued a Business Administration degree at Angelo State University. He and his wife Tobyanna joyfully welcomed their newest family member, Ella Chevelle, in August.

Spencer Armenta, the proud owner of Red Stag Construction. After moving to Abilene in 2019, he began his career as a framer for reputable home builders in the area. Transitioning to a barndominium builder role, Spencer refined his framing skills and handled a significant part of the finishing work.
