34 160 FLOAT & TALAS

MOUNTING HARDWARE

The 34 platform is now available additionally for 26 inch and 650B wheels and has extended to 160 mm of trail-eating travel. Each fork is equipped with a 15QR thru axle system and a 1.5-inch tapered steerer and crown. LIGHTER

Compared to its 36 160 big brother, the 34 160 is .47 lbs (213 g) lighter. (in lightest configuration for each Factory Series fork family)

STIFFER

Excellence is in the details. The main contact point of shock-and-frame has been redesigned to offer big benefits. LESS FRICTION

The new resin hardware reduces friction by nearly 50% compared to traditional mounting hardware, allowing the shock to respond faster to all linkage movements.

LOWER AXLE-TO-CROWN

To maintain high stiffness for superior handling, the 34 160 is equipped with a 15QR thru axle lower leg and a lightweight 1.5-inch crown/steerer.

The axle-to-crown height is 7.4 mm shorter (compared to the 36 160) for optimal frontend geometry and quick, snappy handling.

FLOAT AIR SPRING CURVES SMARTER TRAVEL

Our ultimate goal with the FLOAT air spring is to mimic the linear curve of a coil spring. The secret to achieving near-perfect linear spring curves, while maintaining bottom-out resistance in each travel setting, is focusing on both ends of the fork’s travel path. The result:

By removing unnecessary parts, the large-volume, integrated air sleeve and eyelet design reduces weight by approximately .08 lbs / 37 grams (average weight savings compared to an equivalent XV sleeve).

COOLER AND CONSISTENT

The air spring performs more consistently and velocity air damping is reduced compared to traditional multi-piece extra volume designs.

INTEGRATED

The eyelet is an integral part of the new large volume sleeve. All the air volume normally found in an XV sleeve is now contained in the eyelet itself.
