In the New testament the faithfull early Christians were called the people of the Way. A few year later the name Christians were given them by the inhabitants in Antiokia.

Already in the midst of the rst century AD, the Christians began to split, but also to be severe persecuted by the Roman Empire.

In year 323 this ended up with a coalition between the Christian leaders and the leaders of the Empire.

Bible prophecy describes this development by using the name a Woman for the Christian church. A faithfull part called the faithfull women and an apostate part called the Whore, The faithfull part is in the book of Revelation called the in the wilderness.

The Qur`an calls the faithfull believers the people of the book.

In the very end of time it is amazing that the Book of Revelation calls the people of God the 144ooo, and gives them the name Virgins. What a symbolic name !

Just before the time of the Virgins there will be a sealing the people of God. This is at the end of the time of the Laodiceans.

Iron and Clay—Mingled Church craft and State craft—We have come to a time when God's sacred work is represented by the feet of the image in which the iron was mixed with the miry clay.

God has a people, a chosen people, whose discernment must be sancti ed, who must not become unholy by laying upon the foundation wood, hay, and stubble. Every soul who is loyal to the commandments of God will see that the distinguishing feature of our faith is the seventh-day Sabbath. The mingling of churchcraft and statecraft is represented by the iron and the clay.

This union is weakening all the power of the churches. This investing the church with the power of the state will bring evil results. Men have almost passed the point of God's forbearance. They have invested their strength in politics, and have united with the papacy. But the time will come when God will punish those who have made void His law, and their evil work will recoil upon themselves (Manuscript 63, 1899). 4BC 1168.8

The king of the North wins the power struggle with the King of the South and yet he looses at the end. That is what Daniel 11;45 writes.

This is the turning point in the history of the Laodicean church. What happens is that a world union of so-called 10 kings take over the new world order. The people of God will now enter into the nal sealing time, while the World prepare for the nal United front. is clear on this.

The Bible describes this taking over in several places. Revelation 17,16-18 calls the turning point the 10 kings, Revelation 12 calls it the Image of the Beast, and in Daniel 12 reveals when this taking over process reach its nal goal bt establishing , what is called the Abomination of Desolation. It is at that time the scattering of Gods people is a fact, and the time of the Virgins begins.
