“I specialize in art that takes people to places they haven’t been before ” ILIA

A multi-talented artist that creates in every part of her life, Ilia began painting while maintaining a poetic pen pal relationship with a man named Ralph Grimes, who one day she sent a drawing to After he hung up the sketch and he told her of how many admirers praised the work, her condence and purpose as an artist was cemented Inspired by the creativity of her mother and grandfather through gardening, she learned at a mere three years of age and beyond that ‘life is a canvas ’ upon which we create She continued her poetry, yet was urged by Grimes to try her hand at painting Her path was set Known for her ability to communicate exactly what the viewer wants in her commissioned pieces, she sold her rst wonderful work in 1987, titled ‘Cosi Fan Tuti ’ Her rst check for this validated her increasingly growing ability as an artist

Ilia weaves a very spiritual feeling into both her writings and art. Schooled by independent teachers, predominately Mr Grimes who held an MFA, she was rooted further in her work by teachings in Classical, Jazz, Big Band and more.

Following the lyrical pulse of life, when Ilia paints, creates digital ne art or writes, she listens to music Inuenced by Mozart, Vivaldi, Loeillet, Telemann, Purcell, Beethoven, Hayden, Bach, utist Jean-Pierre Rampal, and old time jazz, among more, these sounds help breathe life into her poetic, painterly work Also heavily inuenced by writer, poet, photographer, musician, and lmmaker L. Ron Hubbard, whose rational philosophy has guided her life, as well as inventor and artist Leonardo Di Vinci – she dubs her style as Dreamscapes as it has dierent colors and ows-reminiscent of her varying high minded inuences from art and musical composition to philosophy

“My Dreamscapes are fantasy forms and designs that are fused together into digital art which simulates the colors of nature and space, and are intended to reach a person with the message that purposes, dreams and goals can become a reality.” ILIA

Ilia states, that she creates art in order to ‘inspire others to create ’ Indeed, her visions for her life, even beyond the canvass, are bright and noble. She adds, “I help other artists to make a living with their art because I found out that once I inspire others to create it elevates us all up higher-myself included And- at times that person isn’t going to continue unless there is a way or even several ways in which for one to make a living with their art, so I like to help

teach them to do that ”

In addition to art, Ilia has now written a book titled “The Art of Mentoring” to share her successful actions for helping others! But for now, it is Ilia’s art that is worthy of much great attention When asked what clients collecting her work can expect, she concludes, “People can expect quality work that speaks to them. A person with my art can expect to look at it time and again nding new things to admire about it And a person can expect other people, when seeing it, to gravitate to it, look at it, admire and to continue to be drawn to the painting, looking and seeing more about it ” Unclear? Hardly

Ilia is a rare, grounded woman with a vision, and possessing of a trained skill and condence in that vision, which speaks diligently- from the spirit to each work she creates- and from each work in turn to each client It is with that understanding that we invite you to enjoy the exploration of this very vibrant and deserving artist.

Terry Hrynyshyn Painting

Lives and works in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada – just a bit north of Toronto

After many years of writing ction and sculpting, I decided to follow in my mother’s footsteps and paint

I was inspired by the early images from the James Webb telescope They absolutely blew me away The universe is so expansive and turbulent it boggles comprehension! These are images that no human has ever seen

With my paintings and photographs, I wish to present images that are arresting, turbulent and expansive; with colours that inspire creativity, light and thought after the sorrows we have all suered during the pandemic It is my hope that people will connect with them for many years to come.

Digital Arts, Painting, Functional Art

My education is in drafting, mathematics, education, and mechanical engineering

In the early 80’s I began doing illustrations and isometric drawings for books on weaving, and at my work for a chemical company Building constructs and painting became a way of decorating our home

When an owner of an art gallery saw my work, she asked me to bring some to her gallery I became a resident artist for the gallery in the late 80’s for 14 years Since then, I have sold numerous paintings, construct sculptures, plus end tables and coee tables that I have built and painted In 2018 I began making digital art through the use of Fractal manipulations on the computer These fractal images are then converted to JPG images which may take between 10 to 20 hours of computations by the computer

Now, at 74, I continue as resident artist with Rue Colline Gallery & Georgian Gallery in Georgia, Fine Art Studio Online, and ArtNuances Gallery in London, England

Britten Elizabeth Painting

Growing up in the colorful city of San Francisco and studying art in historic Florence, Italy gave me a wide range of artistic abilities Experience as a graphic, portrait, and mural artist have helped me nd true expression in the contemporary art world

I start every painting with a handmade alder wood frame stretched with organic cotton canvas After gesso, I apply a water-based layer, giving the painting texture Layers of gold, silver, and copper leaf are then followed by French-milled, museum quality oil paint and resin This unique layering technique gives my paintings a luminous quality ranging from peaceful and ethereal to vibrant and lively

Currently based in Edwards, my creativity mirrors an internal landscape of emotion inspired by Colorado’s dramatic, wide open spaces. I paint with the skill and aesthetic sensitivity acquired from experience and a fearless exploration of endless possibilities

Norman Gabitzsch Photography

I was educated to be a scientist with a Ph D in Physics, but after nishing Post Doctoral work at Los Alamos, New Mexico, I took a position in the research department of a Multi-National Oil company where I did fundamental research to image the interior of the earth It was here that I learned the fundamentals of signal processing that I now use for photography I spent a career with this company performing both research and operational oil exploration It was a great opportunity to travel and see the world

I am a self taught “artist” I like to study the work of the Masters both in the Paints and Photography Painters have the luxury of creating perfect composition and palette with their mind’s eye (there is much to learn from their work), but the photographer has only a short time to nd the right composition before the scene changes The photographer has to develop great instinct and fast non hesitant reactions to do their work outside the studio. This is especially true of Street Photographers. The best way to learn these skills, in my opinion, is go out and take a lot of photographs

In 2017 over 1 2 trillion photographs were made of the existing world When one stops to think about it, there are very few things that have not been photographed before. For me I nd motivation for photography by looking for the shot that others have overlooked It may be a new Point of View or a dierent way of seeing light, or even using light that is not visible to the human eye. I have developed a strong style using the invisible light of infrared photography For the viewer of the photograph I hope they nd something that they have failed to notice before.

Painting

While I always had an impulse to create, I hadn't followed my passion till 2016 when I went to therapy for my eating disorder Till then, I had painted many paintings for family and friends but never explored my own style It was more an imitation of an artists work with my own touch or, a landscape painting of fotos I took on vacations

Since my recovery treatment and now I attended several Art Fairs (2019, 2020, 2021 in Lafayette, and Littleton CO) holiday markets (one in 2020, two in 2021 in Lafayette and Westminster CO), attended the 2022 Louisville Art Association National Fine Art Show I got to sell several paintings to an Interior Design Company in Boulder CO in 2021 and got one of my paintings published in Artistonish Magazine (June 2022) this year

My goal for the future is to continue nding peace in my art and share the results with a variety of viewers hoping they get as much joy exploring the many stories in every painting

Zahava Sherez Sculpture

ZaHaVa Sherez is an international contemporary artist and spiritual activist who has been using her art since 1992 to give voice to social justice, human rights, immigrants, and refugees

ZaHaVa was born in Argentina, grew up in Israel, and moved to the USA in 1985 Since 2018 she has been living and working both in California and Jalisco, MX

Being multi-cultural and multi-lingual has enriched her life in indescribable ways Experiences such as immigrations, wars, and oppression have been implausible teachers who deepened and shaped ZaHaVa’s worldview to understand that humanity is One Race Having lived in multiple cultures, witnessing the rich dierences between them, she was able to see the fundamental similarities that make divisions obsolete

As an artist she draws from her life lessons and has used stone, clay, resin, bronze, mixed media, and color, to convey her messages.

Her latest work, InBodied Light is a large sculptural project which is a visual representation of the message We Are One! To best illustrate this concept, Sherez chose to use a material that has a transparency and lightness to it, so that light becomes a central element. This places the emphasis on the common eld and on our connectedness with all and everything through Light and Vibrational Energy Darkness cannot exist when light shines on it. That is the purpose of this work – silent and powerful Beings transforming with their presence.

Sherez is the recipient of numerous awards, and her work has been shown from California to New York and all the way to Paris, China, Corsica, Mexico, and Havana, Cuba Private and corporate collectors in the USA, Israel, The Netherlands, Australia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, England, Chile, and Mexico, own her art.

Zahava is uent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew.

Sometimes, and artwork is emerges followed by a certain mood, feeling or emotion Other times, white canvas already spent few days on an easel When I pass it through, I stop for a moment and savour its perfection – in this moment, all that is ts in the canvas And when I am in my inner state it only takes a moment for me to see the painting that I carve by light and colour I gained an initial understanding of painting, sculpture, composition, graphic art and art history while studying at the 31st Secondary School in Vilnius (Vilnius Tuskulėnai Gymnasium) We had excellent, dedicated teachers who gave us intensive drawing lessons After eight grades, my diploma thesis was awarded the highest grade and I was sent to study at the Stepas Žukas Applied Arts Technical School However, life happened in such a way that I had to study sewing, and later on, clothing construction and design. Here I also applied my knowledge by creating collections of clothes decorated with drawings But I have always, always dreamed of returning to painting. I am very happy at this time in my life when I can devote time to painting, a time that gives me the opportunity to learn anew and to get to know this wonderful creative process

Sometimes, the path in life that we chose to take comes in the form of an unexpected gift In 1981, I was a stay at home mom and my mother gave me a gift for an adult education basket weaving class at Litcheld’s prestigious Forman School Basket weaving came naturally to me, I felt like I had been doing it all my life I was so intrigued with the weaving arts that everyone that year got a basket for Christmas! Engaged and artistic, it didn’t take me long before I became bored with weaving traditional baskets I started to look for natural materials grown locally that I could incorporate into dierent woven forms My rst experimentations were with grapevine but to my eye, the end result looked too forced or studied One brilliant autumn day when I was foraging for grapevine, I came across the Bittersweet vine and, it was love at rst sight! Bittersweet opened up a whole new world of weaving possibilities for me The vine felt like magic in my hands because it gave me visions of what form it wanted to be Going on 40 plus years, I have never looked back and continue to forage for Native American Bittersweet vines and imagine the fantastic forms that we will create together

One of the most important life lessons I learned was from my Grandmother Fern. On my 45th birthday she told me, “You are about to begin the most important years of your life, so do what you are meant to do - and do something that makes you happy.” Looking back, I am so thankful I followed my Grandmother’s advice The support of my parents and the appreciation of my work from so many clients from around the world gave me the condence to continue to grow and thrive as an artist.

My woven pieces from baskets to wall sculptures, ceiling hangers, to furniture has evolved and, is the way I dene myself as an artist, and as a woman I am fullling my dreams that started out with my imagination as a set designer. My creative path took a turn. It was not set design but the woven arts with its many forms and functions where I found the passion for my life’s work

The natural beauty of Bittersweet always sparks my imagination and is at the heart of the many pieces I weave My imagination guides all that I do and it has become very attuned to the harmony of shapes, forms, and colors of the vines and reeds. I am also inuenced by the beauty of our natural world and wonder how to weave it Perfect examples of my interpretation of nature are my woven wall sculptures of owers and landscapes.

Raised in sunny South America as a child, some of my color palette is inuenced by this experience I mix my own dyes and enjoy building a palette for the reeds that will shape textures and forms with color. For the most part, what I do is very planned from the beginning When I prepare my materials, I know what colors I am going to use and the basic form the piece will take.

My work started with humble vessels for a purpose. As my craftsmanship grew with the use of Bittersweet vines, my work evolved into one of kind sculptured vessels And then, it blossomed to one of kind sculpture wall hangers. As I was creating new forms and weaving them, I decided to experiment with dierent techniques of traditional weaving Recently, I decided to create my own technique of weaving, which I named “Dimensional Weave." Today I am in the process of creating some new works without the vines, such as "The Hands” So, stay tuned, there's much more to come!

Armin Mersmann was born in Remscheid, Germany, in 1955 Along with his parents, he immigrated to the United States in 1962 He grew up in an artistic environment and was greatly inuenced and tutored by his father, Fritz Mersmann, a successful oil painter

Although Mersmann is mainly known for his intense naturalistic graphite drawings, he also works in photography and Digital Illustration; these works are much more about the idea of exploration than the drawings, but it’s a wonderful balance “My interests have become exceedingly experimental with more attention placed on the surfaces of the work itself Discovering and rediscovering my chosen medium is the everlasting stimulus that keeps me interested and excited. Accidental process and meticulous planning comingle in all my work Texture, either real or illusionary, and that one ever-elusive brushstroke, the one that says it all; keeps me searching and exploring.

My work career involved over 30 years at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse NY Trees and wood were often topics of discussion, analysis, research, and utilization After retirement, I found sculpting with wood was where I obtained my most creative pleasure I soon learned to accept that art would be sold and gone forever

Andrew Wong

Paper Art, Painting

Growing up in Hong Kong and the United States, Andrew always had a passion for art However, when it came time to choose a career, he opted for Fashion Design instead of Fine Arts This seemed more practical, never daring to pursue his dream of becoming an artist At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the inevitable and emotional stay-at-home order transitioned the reality and priorities of daily life

He began working with cardboard boxes as a fun activity with his children as an escape from the monotonous stress of the imposed and indenite isolation This play turned into a passion as Andrew reiterated these cutout designs and models into more intricate forms of portraiture Paper became the preferred medium Attaching and lifting the simple cardboard cut-outs perpendicular to the substrate to build three-dimensional works of art that allow light to illuminate hues and articulate shadows, creating an elaborate portrait full of depth and feeling The process is gratifying and he felt compelled to continue this work as both a means of expression and deance.

As a young Asian American, Andrew felt that his culture was simultaneously under-represented in the mainstream media and relegated to Orientalism and jokes. Knowing the stories are complex, beautiful and deserve to be told in all their intricacy, the aim is to highlight and celebrate the beauty of his culture and heritage. Positively portraying and lifting the many marginalized individuals and communities in the United States who share in the invalidating experience of being both under-represented and misrepresented

Currently I make mostly funconal food-safe work. I throw, hand-build, combine the two, and alter I experiment with pushing forms and I love color Colors have flavors to me. Combining forms, color and then pung homemade food into/onto my pieces – well – it’s a bit of heaven – the harmony that is created.

The pieces I make move in themes, and I usually work on three themes at a me. Currently I am working on: Mandalas, textures from the sea and my passion for hiking, and bringing my favorite places into my pots by interpreng topo maps.

With these themes I bring my memory of the places I have adventured to, the smell of the air, feel of the water and taste of sun.

When I am not making funconal work, I create decorave mosaic pieces, combining hand-carved relief le pieces and glass. These pieces are always of nature – mostly trees I have met on hikes or am surrounded by near where I live, and the atmospheres around them – air, sun, mountain, water

I use white, speckled or brown clays and for my larger slab forms, I mix in paperclay as well. My surfaces are a combinaon of slip/underglaze-trailed designs, either hand-drawn lines, or built-up textures, and then glazed with many colors. I fire to cone 5 in an electric kiln.

Mainly self-studied, in 2005, I moved to Barcelona (Spain) to work professionally in art, painting on canvas In 2009 my career had a changing point; I gained a grant for an art residence in Rotterdam, and I created and ran an art project with social impact about migrations and integration, during which I painted my rst large scale mural

The project was very emotional and pushed me to keep working on this line of social projects In fact it was the rst of many others around the globe about several social topics For example I worked in Toronto (Canada), Brescia (Italy) and Jalisco (Mexico about migration, in Togo about kids of the street, in Barcelona (Spain) about gentrication, in Europe, America and Asia about digital technology abuse, etc, In the last 10 years, I gained international visibility in art galleries and art centers but also on specialized magazines and national newspapers I exhibited in Europe and America and I ran talk in several art and academic convention.

Fabrizio

For me, the genesis of each new sculpture is my desire to capture the wonder and appreciation that I feel when I witness anew the beauty of the human form What inspires me often is a pose that conveys a mood that I nd compelling, that, while expressing some common human experience, is visually evocative

The process of actually sculpting is nearly mystical for me I simply revel in the transference of the visual details to my hands as they model the clay I nd myself drop into a zone that is both generative and profound I know that I am in the groove when I become excited about the pose When viewing the completed clay original, I must feel stirred by the mood that the sculpture conveys I have a condence of it being complete when the sensuality and dynamism of the piece is compelling It is only then that I commit to casting the sculpture in bronze

My art is informed by a rewarding career of serving amputees in the eld of prosthetics for over 40 years, which provided me with an appreciation for the human spirit’s capacity to transform loss into triumph. Those patient interactions endowed me with an eye for the wonders of the human body, but also a heart to sense the essence of the person before me, which stimulated my yearning to express those insights in sculpture. My academic training in prosthetics included an in-depth study in anatomy and human motion, which was the foundation on which I built my gurative art studies at Gage Academy in Seattle.

In my sculptures, what both intrigues and excites me is to successfully create an image that, at rst glance, grabs the viewer’s attention Figurative sculpture is something that nearly everyone can relate to With 3-D art, it is particularly satisfying for me to succeed in capturing your interest from all sides of the piece! My mission is this:

“While rendering the individual, I attempt to express the UNIVERSAL; while capturing a moment, to convey the TIMELESS ”
