Charlotte A. Cornish: The contemporary mosaic "Contemporary art is much more mosaic than you can imagine.", explained in 2017 in an interview on Artribune Alfonso Panzetta, curator of the Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic in Ravenna, an exhibition dedicated to mosaic technique, with an eye to its manifestations in contemporary art. "Mosaic is everywhere; you just have to start recognizing it. Today the mosaic is made with di erent objects than the tile. In this sense, the tile has undergone a metamorphosis. Using objects to compose a gure, as occurs in assembly or accumulation, is a concept inherited from the mosaic technique. It also exists in painting, in the fragmentation of the brushstroke or even in the more technical concept of pixels". This observation immediately contextualizes the work of Charlotte A. Cornish, an eclectic English artist active in various elds (drawing, painting, crafts, design, digital art, fashion, graphics, illustration, sculpture, public art), who makes an integral part of her creative production through the art of mosaics, con rming the relevance of this artistic genre. The artist began to approach this technique in 2007, with the idea of producing a selection of works that were immediately readable and that emit colored re ections with the light and with this intent, after the rst period in which she focused on marble inserts, she approached the glass, a fascinating material in its versatility, with a long artistic and symbolic tradition behind it. The combination of fragments of tiles and glass tesserae creates an impression of movement and three-dimensionality of the mosaic surface that acquires a sculptural value, while the refraction of light, always di erent according to the alternation of light sources at other times of the day and of the inclination of the work, expands its range of action on an environmental scale. The idea of re ection appears central in the series entitled "Mirror", consisting of shaped mirrors surrounded by splinters of tiles and glass paste inserts, selected based on texture and color. These combinations create a point-like and vibrant chromatic mixture, which the eye perceives as gradations and shades.

The grounded and unifying element of these works is light, which becomes an all-encompassing experience and adamantine thought. At the same time, the expressive value is entrusted to the chromatic and tactile research of materials. Light, an intangible but physically perceptible element, is the essence of the visible and functions as a perceptive gateway that makes it possible to overcome form to arrive at the pure sensation. In light, matter loses consistency and weight to exist as a pure image, in which oating signs are suspended in space and time. The Mosaic is used here as a medium of lines, signs, and colors in which a mysterious visual memory is concealed, a sort of extension in the presence of things and the simultaneous persistence of archetypes taken from various visual cultures. Today, Mosaic is a syncretic discipline that places itself at the crossroads of traditional knowledge and languages bearing di erent identities that become essential vehicles of exchange with current events. In fact, Charlotte A. Cornish's works incorporate suggestions and stylistic features from various historical periods (starting from the inevitable oriental reference to Byzantine mosaic art to arrive at Art Deco and Futurism) translated into a superior uniformity of language, which re ects the stylistic coherence of the author. Each work expresses a precise emotional setting and derives from the artist's sensory approach to a landscape in which she recognizes herself or her memory. References to nature recur, which is evoked by combinations of tesserae in which di erent shades of abstraction and guration coexist: the leaves, owers, earth, water, and sky are stimulated through their chromatic vibrations, which visually synthesize a complex impression in which the intuitions of our perceptive organs and the abstract idea that they have produced over time in our imagination converge. Simultaneously, the gurative inserts, overly stylized to the point of sometimes being assimilated to abstract signs, return the same perception due to the millennial process of creative appropriation through which man has developed di erent visual codes to interpret natural forms. Talking about the works in the "Mirror" series, we could also speak of settings because these artworks refer to the time and place where the artist created them, where the viewer is invited to immerse himself with his mind and gaze. As suggested by the title, another central element of these works is precisely the mirror, which re-introduces all the multiform variability of life that ows back into the mosaic's crystallized harmony. The re ecting power of the mirror returns the observer's image, forcing him to a confrontation, as a sort of memento mori, and at the same time reverberates the diversity of human identity that propagates in the dust of mirrored tiles. But the continuity of life is also manifested in the mirror's attitude to create impossible spaces and generate images that could turn into something else. In her work, Charlotte A. Cornish seems to want to overshadow the artwork itself and suggests to the viewer to do the same, giving up the vain re ection of one's ego to use the mirror as a device for dissolving the self into the natural elements that follow the decomposition process carried out by the mosaic tiles that surround it.

Natalie Demina Painting

Born on January 31, 1974 in Dresden, Germany. My mother was an architect by profession and there was always a creative atmosphere at home, since she was not able to realize herself in the profession, she created at home. Even in nature, the family went with an easel. As a child, I received a musical education in the piano class, and later received a higher technical education at the Polytechnic University. She turned to painting after the tragic death of her mother in 2004, when she took all her art materials to her home. I suddenly had a passionate desire to paint pictures and I only took the tool already knew what the picture would be about, and the brush itself deduced the ideas born in my head. It was from this moment that my creative search began. I graduated from an online art school in Saint Petersburg in two areas: oil painting and drawing, and took live master classes with Oleg Buiko in Moscow and Nadezhda Ilina in Saint Petersburg. I am still searching for interesting and original experience in oil painting techniques. In my work, I develop in two directions: these are light, almost airy paintings written with thin layers of oil paint, and on the contrary – colorful and pasty works. But all of them are United by a powerful bright message to the open world, they seem to want to charge everyone with their life-giving energy! This is what I see as my mission: to transmit the energy of Beauty, Life itself, and Creation from my canvas! Anthony Santomauro, born in New York City, resides in Fair eld, CT since 1976. An artist for over 45 years, he works in pastel, charcoal, and acrylic. His professional career began 1975 with 1st Prize in the Juried Annual Exhibit of The Sumter S. C. Artist Guild with “Massimo” followed be a One Man Exhibition. Thereafter he received prizes in the Annual Exhibit of the S. C. State Fair, Sumter S.C. Studying drawing at Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan, CT, he was awarded the Faculty 1st Prize in drawing at the Annual Juried Student Exhibition of Silvermine School of Arts in 1998, 2000 and 2001. Rachelle Pierre-Louis, also known as Rach, is a Philadelphia based multimedia artist. Born in 1982 in Port-Au Haiti, she began her career as a self-taught artist before earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. At the age of 6, Rach started drawing after she saw a sketch her cousin created. She fell in love with the details of it all. From that point, her passion for art was birth. She exhibited an appreciation for art. In high school, she began using the walls in her room as a canvas to exhibit her artistic aspirations. She also started selling her art to classmates. The type of art she enjoys performing is painting, where she utilizes oil and acrylic. She also enjoys drawing using pencil, pen and charcoal. After perfecting her skills in painting and drawing, she used those same skills for freehand style tattooing. Rach also does graphic and T-shirt designing. After high school, she began working freelance for a printing company in Philadelphia, PA. In 2001 she decided to pursue her education at the Hussian School of Art, majoring in Graphic Design. Throughout her Baccalaureate training, she continued expressing her talents through various forms of design. Upon completion of her degree, she started working for a T-shirt printing company that led as a gateway into Tattooing in 2005. In 2007 she worked for a tattoo shop in Philadelphia, PA. She was able to travel to di erent cities tattooing and exploring another form of art. In 2010 she collaborated with her business partner and opened an art gallery in Philadelphia, PA. It’s called, A Poet Art Gallery is a small intimate space for artists. Her work has opened many doors for her, allowing her to create eternal forms of art and touching the lives of those around her. Her art re ects a very raw, intense and uid sense of emotion. Her paintings are a window into areas of life we rarely take the time to notice. Through vivid color and unconventional lines, she asks her audience to look deeper into the work allowing them a front seat at originality. One thing Rach is sure of is that she wants to make a di erence in the lives of the youth all around the world through the arts. This would have a great impact and reassure them that it is okay to be unique and creative and possess positive self-expression.

I have been engaged in art for nearly my entire life. I have worked in a variety of media and focused on a number of subjects, all with the purpose of creating something beautiful. Ultimately that journey led me to focus on the beauty of the female form as viewed through black and white photography. My work celebrates the beauty of the female form and spirit. I strive for my art to uplift the spirit and inspire an appreciation for the beauty of life. My aesthetic sense springs from wonder at the variety and mystery of the body’s physical reality as well as its ability to be transformed into abstractions. I think the world would be a better place if we all focused more of our attention on creating and appreciating beauty. Although I greatly enjoy exhibiting my artwork, over the last several years, I have focused my attention on publishing my artwork in order to reach a wider audience with whom to share it. My studio is located in the United States, in Takoma Park, which is within the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. I have exhibited my artwork in venues across North America, Europe, and Asia. I have received multiple awards and have had my artwork published in numerous publications on art or featuring art photography. My work has also been licensed for use by musical artists for compact disc covers and related promotional materials. I am an artist certi ed by the Museum of the Americas, United States, and am an A liate Artist of the Circle Foundation for the Arts, France. I am currently represented by FotoNostrum, Mediterranean House of Photography, Spain.

Aomi Kikuchi is a textile artist based in Kyoto, Japan. She holds a BFA from Kyoto University of Art & Design (Japan) and an MFA from Pratt Institute (USA). Aomi has exhibited her work throughout the world including at Woman’s Essence Show 2020 (Rome), Today’s Silk Road Exhibition (China), LA Art Show Modern + Contemporary (California), and annual Japan Contemporary Art and Craft Exhibition (Tokyo Metropolitan Museum). Her work is based on Japanese aesthetic principles and the teachings of the Buddha. “Wabi-sabi”, a well known philosophy that beauty is found in imperfections and “Mono-no-aware”, the feeling of sympathy for that which changes or perishes such as the seasons and all living things. The Buddha states that nothing exists in the same state forever, that what we believe to exist is uncertain and that we can only recognize with our ve senses. People feel su ering when they seek something everlasting yet while existence is not eternal, the activities of matter and life are conceptually in nite. Aomi takes inspiration from the fragility and eetingness found in natural cycles and in textile. With over 30 years, Aomi has dedicated extensive and immersive practice to Japanese Kimono Haute Couture, Yusen dyeing techniques, and silk fabrics after becoming a fashion designer. This background inspires her artistic exploration and her artwork utilizes various textile materials and techniques including extremely thin bers, goose down, and cotton ower along with knitting, weaving, embroidery, and other craft techniques. She is currently working on several series of installation pieces, innovative embroidery works, and sculptures. In these works she explores the concept of impermanence and in nity through the use of biology and nature with textiles and waste.

When I was in Japan, I rarely considered the race issue because Japan seems to consist of a single ethnicity. While in NYC, I was a person in one of a minority group of ethnic. There, I consider the equality of human beings including the di erence of race and sex. I thought that the di erence in skin color would disappear when the skin is peeled. The di erence between male and female disappears when the muscles are removed. The size of the skeletons is a little di erent, but when it comes to skeletons, all humans are equal. Based on this assumption, I made a skull with silk gauze being sti en it using water-soluble adhesive. When I put hair on it, the skull looked like a woman to me.

Robert Concienne has been retired since 2010 due to a serious illness that he will never be expected to recover from. Unfortunately, he became disabled and was not able to return to his successful career as a top producing Sotheby's & Re/Max Real Estate Broker/Sales Associate with a license in California, Oregon & Hawaii. Over the past 10 years of rebuilding his life, Robert has graciously been given the opportunity to visit approximately 20 countries. During this period, he became aware that he was having di culty with his memory, so he randomly picked up a camera and started taking photographs. Earl Rina: a vision of joyful experiences Tell us about your artistic background story and if there was a pivotal moment when you decided to follow your path as a visual artist? When I was young it was my passion to draw and create artworks in any medium. I started learning painting after I graduated from my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I took and learned art through some workshops and art classes. There was a time that I painted the Lady Justice with a broken hand holding a broken sword and my father commented that it visualized the inequality of the implementation of justice. He liked it so much that he had it framed and displayed it on the wall of our living room. It greatly inspired me that through my painting I have aroused and evoked someone’s sentiment and perspective. I am still learning through workshops and classes of art to enhance my technique and my niche. Was there ever a moment of doubt to question your art career entirely? There was some doubt and questioning of my art career during those times of failed artworks. But I always keep in mind that failure is part of practicing and I should learn from it. What is your daily routine when working in your studio? I do not really have a daily routine. I work in a part time job and when the idea for creating an artwork comes, I go to my studio and just paint. Take us through your process of making your artworks. How do you move from an idea to an artwork? Where does an artwork begin for you? Most of my artworks are inspiration of beautiful landscapes and nature adventure that I have experienced travelling either locally or internationally. I called it my whimsical experience. I capture those moments through some of my sketch notebooks, my canon camera, and a little watercolor painting. Then, I look into some of the photographs and I paint them in my studio in a way that I feel and I remember them as how beautiful and how pleasing it was to be there. So, I share those pleasing moments and whimsical experiences through my paintings. When an idea comes to my mind I sketch my draft in my canvas and then as I start to paint along the way I just add on some new ideas and it will just build up and build up until I am done.

For me, an artwork begins by feeling inspired while doing a daily activity, especially when I am commuting from work to a place, park, or home. Some other signi cant moments along the way are the result of my international travels for a vacation that involves nature and learning. Is there a central concept connecting all your works together or each series or artwork is unique? Each series are unique and depends on the adventure that I've had. Most of them are inspired by my whimsical daily adventure experiences which is my travels locally and internationally, my daily learning and advocacy for nature and wild life, and some mysterious ideas that pops on my mind. Would you like to give a particular interpretation of your work to your viewers or you prefer to leave the whole interpretation to your audience? Most of my artworks have an interpretation of their own but usually I leave the viewers or audience to have their own interpretation that gives them the whimsical, pleasing and mysterious experience. How do you seek and use inspiration for your works? I seek my inspiration through my activities in daily living through nature and learning and use it as my inspiration. How do you select your artworks subjects? Where they come from? I select my artworks subject through my pleasing moments and whimsical experience through nature and learning. They come from nature and wild life. Is there an artwork or series that you would like to be remembered for? And if yes, what is it? The Dancing Silhouette is one of my signature artworks, with gurative dancing of people with a background of nature and beautiful landscape or scenery formed based on my activities in daily living, my travel and my whimsical experience. And my nature landscape whimsical paintings which tells about how pleasing and beautiful nature is as I travel and live my life. What are your art influences? Who are your favorite contemporary or historical artists and why? My rst art in uences were the Japanese anime and manga until now. Because they are my childhood animations. My favorite historical artist is one of Philippine National Artists Fernando Amorsolo because of his beautiful landscape paintings of the Philippine's scenery, and Belorussian French Artist Marc Chagall which his paintings brings me into a world of mysterious experiences. If you could meet one of your ideal artists from the past, who would it be and what will you ask about? It would be Marc Chagall. I would ask him if I could become his apprentice. How have you been affected by the current lockdown, social distancing and all limitations and cancellations in artistic world? I am a ected by the schedule of my short-term goals to achieve my long term goal as an artist, because I have to reschedule them and have to keep myself healthy. It also somehow changed my view on how to go to workshops and changed my shopping to online and the fact that I have to wait for the delivery. It hastened my short-term goals to achieve. Your presented artworks seem to be a rough semi-abstract presentation of the areas you found during your visual adventures. Why choosing watercolor technique for this set of your landscape paintings? Choosing watercolor gives me a sense of relaxation, a sense of nature, and a sense of something that is beyond and real.

Do you take photos from the scenes and then paint them, or just create the work while watching the scene, maybe both? Most of the time I take photos while traveling with the group and some of the times when I get a chance to sit and just enjoy the view I paint them especially when I am highly emotional seeing the landscapes. Some of the presented paintings are tall with height 3 times longer than their width, for instance " The woods are deep and lovely" . How come do you decide about such dimensions? I decided to give it that dimension to give me the essence of how tall and how marvelous the woods and the trees was where. " Rhythm of the waves" seem to be very interesting showing wild movements in most of our readers opinions. Moreover, the pink woods seem surreal somehow. How have you chosen your coloring for this set? Is this real or was meant for something? Mostly of the colors that I have chosen are meant for something on how I feel during the time I was in the place and how I could remember them when I was there capturing them through photos and how was I feeling when I am painting them. Any upcoming works or future projects that you would like to share with our readers? I am planning to travel around Canada to experience the whimsical beauty of landscapes and paint them.

Over the years she lived in many places including Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Fort Frances, settling into her present home in Devlin, on the banks of the Rainy River with her husband Mark, 4 dogs and 2 cats. By age three, Cher was seldom found without a drawing tool in hand. She worked in pencil, charcoal and ink over the years, until, she picked up a paintbrush at the age of 35. I found myself enjoying the beautiful world of colours from my childhood. I was born in Slovakia in a family with no artistic background. I'm living in the UK, and I am optimistic that my passion never comes to an end because it is in my blood, and I hope that my paintings bring more beauty to everybody's lives. Each artwork represents di erent themes, compositions, and feelings evolving on our daily basis. Every artwork is unique. My favorite style is portrait and animal gures. I nd inspiration in my daily life, my future goals, and my exhibitions. Michelangelo is one of my favored artists from the past. He was born same day as me - the 6th of March. I love his work and the frescoes on the ceiling in Sistine Chapel in The Vatican. I love painting because it gives my fantasy a chance to take me anywhere and share it with a broader audience.

Arati Reddy-Devlin Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Printmaking

Arati Reddy-Devlin was born in Natal, South Africa in 1962, and moved to the UK at a very young age where she lived and gained her BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design, (London College of Communication, 1984), a post-graduate degree in Fine Art Printmaking, (Brighton University, 1986) and later quali ed as an Art and Design teacher,(Goldsmiths University of London, 2001) and completed a Master of Education in Applied Linguistics, (Open University, 2014). In 1986, ReddyDevlin was awarded a British Council Scholarship to study Fine Art Printmaking at the Ljubljana Art Academy, Slovenia, where she gained skills in traditional printmaking techniques. Reddy-Devlin, lived in Croatia between 2009 -2013 where she became fascinated with the ora and seascape from her home. This was a departure from her earlier in uence of primitive art and her style developed into detailed black and white observations of intricate pen and ink landscapes inspired by natural forms around her on the island where she lived and has continued to be part of the schema of her work. Her island life experience ignited her passion for the micro world of natural forms and returning to live in the UK in 2013, her printmaking disciplines enabled her to work backwards in her work to create even more complex and intricate layering of dynamic images. Her current series of works fuse her long term passion for Sci- , robotics and mechanical parts and medieval art, interwoven with delicate natural forms to create other micro worlds.

Carmen Cecilia Rusu Painting

Carmen Cecilia Rusu is an artist born on the 26-th of January 1970 in Dej, Romania, and has recently a rmed herself in the eld after multiple painting exhibitions in which she participated. Since childhood she discovered her passion for drawing and painting. Since then, her vision of things was more an abstract . Cecilia was seen as a lively person, always casting light and joy around her. These emotional states were re ected in her paintings, especially in the colors she used. There was an 18year period of time, in which she did paint only occasionally. And then, in 2013, she decided to take up a course called "Drawing with the right hemisphere." Only then she realized how much time she lost in all those years in which she did not paint as often as in her childhood. One year later she took up a painting course where she had her rst contact with the acrylic technique. From that moment on it became her favorite technique and she decided that painting must become again one of her priorities. Since 2014, the artist has returned to his childhood passion, namely painting, participating to date in 32 national exhibitions. 140 international exhibitions in Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia, England, Switzerland, France , Portugal and U.S.A., 3 personal exhibitions in Florence-Italy and Turda-Romania. In 2016 she enrolled at "Tudor Jarda" Art School from Cluj, at the painting section, in order to deepen her knowledge in the eld. Her teacher Felicia Racean, said "Looking at Mrs. CARMEN CECILIA RUSU’s work, I feel a detachment from reality. We enter into another dimension. The titles lead us to a transmutation from concrete to abstract. We do not have a simple, explicit spacing, but we are entering the universe of the ego. The soul of the author is a rare avis, since she lets us decipher her, the longing for stellar traveling, the restlessness and desire to go beyond. Beyond what? And where? And all this is, because she has that comprehension, that power of penetration into a parallel universe, which she created, to be deciphered by the viewer The structure of the paintings is strange, like the created space. Colors - from the cold star blue, with warm, complementary bursts, that reminds us that without our inner self we have no substance and experience, to the pathos of the hot colors that symbolize the e uvium of earthly love - all these intertwines of cold and warm, represent in fact, the worries, the turmoil, the love and the restlessness - such worldly feelings. Indeed, her works are atypical and I think her success is due to the absolutely original style, unmistakable for the exploitation of one color, based on another - a chromatic tandem in symbols " Nature, with its in nite beauties, is the favorite investigative object of Carmen Cecilia Rusu's painting. AFSOON SHAHRIARI is a visual artist based in Tehran, Iran. She began her career with weaving, having earned her BA in textiles from Alzahra University in Tehran. Her weavings can be seen in many places throughout Iran in the form of curtains, table coverings, cushions and other ne wovens. Her work has been shown in national exhibitions in Tehran. She earned her MA in animation at Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran. Her work includes an animated TV series for children about the poems of Molavi (Rumi) and music videos for rock bands. Now Afsoon is primarily known for her highlydetailed digital painting. Afsoon Shahriari: Sensitive, Traumatic, Delicate Tell us about your artistic background story and if there was a pivotal moment when you decided to follow your path as a visual artist? My academic education is in two areas of textile design and animation directing but I have always wished to be a painter or an illustrator, understanding how an image can captivate the viewer and how the details each with their own particular mystery which may take hours for one to understand is something that has always fascinated me. Although I gained a lot of experience in making animation in the years I was working, it did not ll me with a sense of satisfaction in my opinion. I prefer to concentrate on one frame and induce the story to the viewer through emotions instead of drawing several frames in order to animate a character and express what I want to say in a direct way. I myself really don’t really know how I became a visual artist, it was gradual process over the years and I feel so lucky today because of it. Was there ever a moment of doubt to question your art career entirely? Yes, at times … nancial problems often cause a weakening in the spirit of an artist and makes them wonder how their life would have turned out if they had chosen another way to earn a living but it’s eeting and their life…my life will have a new beginning with moments that will never be repeated after a brand new idea comes to one’s mind. What is your daily routine when working in your studio? Mentioned above moments that will never be repeated which are the experiences of an artist’s life and I really believe it. The good part of being an artist is that, there is no routine as such, any day could be a unique one because an artist’s mood is changing all the time and a painting that may takes one month to be complete , is a complex of emotions , so an image is only one frame but it has a full story behind it with all the ups and downs like our life stories and we can communicate with a painting even if we are sad , happy or hopeful and any other emotion , we can nd that aspect of our emotion in the painting.

Take us through your process of making your artworks. How do you move from an idea to an artwork? Where does an artwork begin for you? My ideas are usually born in my dreams… I mean I am inspired by the dreams I have but sometimes they come to my mind when I am out in the nature ,watching a movie or listening to music …it is like I suddenly see a whole image. Is there a central concept connecting all your works together or each series or artwork is unique? I think all my work is somehow related to each other but it depends on my mood, I often love to show the beauty of nature but at other times I constantly think about something that a ects my work for a long time. How do you seek and use inspiration for your works? As I said before, I'm usually inspired by the dreams I have and sometimes everything I look at is an idea which comes to my mind, but I cannot paint all of them and they fade away, and of course there are many days that I'm completely empty and have no motivation to work at all. How do you select your artworks subjects? This is the hardest part because I can never choose a title to describe my work and sometimes I get help from my friends. Is there an artwork or series that you would like to be remembered for? And if yes, what is it? There are four paintings that include parts of me that I do not usually talk about and I love to be remembered through them, The Artist within, Her Life in Vain, A choice of Redemption and The Undying Hope What are your art influences? Who are your favorite contemporary or historical artists and why? There are many but I can mention two of them Leonardo da Vinci and Salvador Dali. I admire their work because their paintings are so mysterious and meaningful like they are showing some part of another world that only they were able to see. If you could meet one of your ideal artists from the past, who would it be and what will you ask about? It would be Vincent van Gogh but I don’t want to ask him anything I just wish I could sit and watch him painting his brilliant feelings. The atmosphere in your presented artworks are extremely sad, however it feels highly meaningful and touching, considering the neutral green coloring. Are these artworks related? What is the story behind the whole lot? The neutral green that you mentioned is my favorite color and also in my eyes it represents life as much as it evokes death. Sadness is not always solely negative in my view; It can provoke thought and knowledge and I think it has its own beauty too …Sometimes we get sad because something happens against our will Which makes us pay attention to a certain point that maybe we didn’t realize before and this is the rst step towards consciousness …I try to capture everything I have experienced in my life, and this is probably the only thing that relates my paintings together. As the category, you mentioned digital and mixed media. Our readers are interested about the technique details you have applied to create such brilliant artworks. I used to be a weaver and maybe that's why I see the lines that make up the image in the form of threads.I chose digital art because this technique allows us to get very close, like putting the cells of everything together, to create something and it feels really good.

This is a true observation that most of your presented works have a human face, even in the form of a mask, and all the heads are facing to the left. It seems that you projected the sadness using the human faces. Is there a particular reason and purpose for that? I believe that our emotions remain in the environment we live, even after our death.Our fear, joy and sorrow, will remain on the walls and other surfaces like a mirror that holds an image forever. I have tried to show it with the human face that once lived there in the form of a sculpture,mask or portrait painted on a painting. As you know we write in Persian from right to left so I draw heads facing to the left in order to induce the turning of something. In Plantery Soul artworks, what is the type of the plant demonstrated? What does it project in terms of feelings and meaning? I often think that de ning reality and recognizing its boundaries is very personal. What is real in my mind may seem a fantasy in someone else's mind. We see nature through our imaginations and we classify it based on our values… I saw plants that grow together as a ock of birds …I like to consider a mentor or group leader who brings them together and teaches them how to live. In planetary Soul artworks I tried to draw what I feel about plants and their lives. I didn’t use speci c plant in these paintings but I tried to show how we are connected; humans and plants I mean, in our lives. Any upcoming works or future projects that you would like to share with our readers? If we all come from nature and have the same contrasting features all together, I mean elegance along with violence and beauty and brilliance along with darkness and ambiguity so we should live with both sides of us in peace and that is being in harmony with nature and we will be hospitalized for growth and prosperity and if we do not have enough exibility in the face of adversity like dry branches on a tree we will be doomed to destruction. My new collection is about this idea and shows how we contain beauty and the delicateness of nature and at the same time disgusting wounds that came from our stubbornness. Dry branches that passed through our bodies and the result is painful wounds instead of blossoming.

Pedro Sousa Louro Painting, Mixed Media

Established his career as an artist in London where he graduated with a BA in Fine Art. Pedro Sousa Louro has had numerous careers, including TV presenting and modeling for almost 17 years but has always lived on drawing cubist images. Now a full-time artist Pedro transfers his soul into his studio. His work is his way of portraying feelings, emotions, and perceptions, -both consciously and unconsciously- through detailed geometric compositions balanced with lines and shapes. Using multiple techniques in each artwork, his concern lies with creating a dialogue with colour and form, rather than over-focusing on the subject matter. Numerous materials come into play during the artist’s process such as textiles, reclaimed wood objects, old journals, and wallpapers. With canvas or wooden panels for a base, these are combined with rustic deteriorating metals elements, created through a technique he developed by using oxidising copper powders. Combinations of letters and numbers are applied to balance the composition, and nally, each artwork is nished with yacht varnish. In Pedro’s work, you can see the evolution in his dialogue with colours and geometry. Despite his preferences about contemporary artists, like for instance, Francis Bacon and Ben Nickolson. His reminiscence comes from the "neoplasticism" of Mondrian, Robert Rauschenberg, and in some way Picasso. Still, the most crucial in uence of Pedro’s creativity is Ben Nickolson, where Cubism has been part of his life. Only in the early part of his career, in his more recent researches and studies he nds himself combining both Cubism and abstract expressionism in just one practice as he creates his works. He uses the technique of "dropping", used by Pollock, but with the order and sense of Rothko. Pedro is originally from Portugal and moved to the UK over 29 years ago to study his passion for art. He later graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design in 1997. Kaoru Shibuta Artist (born 1980 / from Hokkaido / based in Kyoto) 2003 Kanebo Make-up Institute, 2000 Graduated from Pan Make-up School. He grew up freely with the nature of Hokkaido, he started producing works after working as a SDF, makeup artist, plant shop, and cook. He translates music and research into paintings. Yang Yi-Shiang was born in 1981. She lives and works in Taipei. Painting artist, Yang Yi-Shiang graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tunghai University in 2006. The main emphasis of my art is to enable women to visualize themselves in a liberating light that is inspiring and empowering. When such a connection is made through the art image the viewer is given an opportunity to identify with her inner nature. This can be a joyful and illuminating experience as well as a source of healing. My paintings are an attempt to reconnect women to what has been lost: her prehistoric, matrifocal roots: her goddess/female-centered spirituality, her ancient bond to Nature and to the once honored, sacred mystery of her birthing body. BIO Inspired by Thoreau and Zen philosophy, I live a self-sustaining life of voluntary simplicity surrounded by a natural forest of trees and wild animals. My intention has always been to create my life as an artist that re ects the steady, deliberate growth of a tree. I wanted my growth as an artist and growth of the forest to merge like two trees embracing, becoming one wood and one blood. I am attracted to the emotional depth that the gurative artist can capture in paintings. I found that I had a natural ability to create facial expressions that revealed genuine feelings. I prefer to draw images that probe the depth of the human psyche. Recently I have been adding a poetic inscription to some of my pastel paintings. By combining the power of a visual image and the power of words in the form of poetry I have created a unique form of creative expression. Before I turned from being a poet to becoming a artist I learned how to present the visual aspects of the word by mastering the art of calligraphy. This meant I have unconsciously followed the Chinese tradition of becoming an artist: Not until excelling in both poetry and calligraphy is one ready to become an artist. I feel I am now ready.

Jane Baldridge Painting

Jane Lawton Baldridge, ASMA – bio 2020 Her artwork has been exhibited in numerous solo and group juried exhibitions in galleries and museums. The most notable include Times Square, The Musée du Louvre, Lincoln Center (2x), the Museum of Computer Art, Mint Museum, Elliott Museum, Cameron Museum of Art, Fayetteville Museum of Art and World Festival of Art on Paper (Slovenia). She has won competitions at local, regional and international levels. She has been published and also has a print of “We the People,” her 911 Tribute, in the Library of Congress. Jane was taught by John Mandel and in uenced by Douglas Huebler and John Baldessari, all at California Institute of the Arts, to never repeat what has been done, to do new art. Arthur Turner at the Glassell School of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, taught her to work in multiple media at the same time, to keep the creative ideas owing. Jane has worked three-dimensionally in found objects, clay and sculptural stained glass as well as two-dimensionally in drawing, painting and groundbreaking digital media. She now mixes all of that experience into rich visual stories about things she is passionate about. Her newest works are represented in the Re ection, Erosion and Alchemy series. She has been painting moving water for decades using various media. She utilizes viscosity and alchemy to get the outcome she wants and feels these current paintings are the closest she has come to eliciting the paint to tell her story. She has a deep respect for the ocean, tides, currents and wind. Sometimes you may not know if she is o ering those up in her images as literal or metaphorical forces. When asked why there is so much blue in her works she explained, “when you are o shore out of sight of land, you spend days if not weeks looking at blue sky and blue water. I am not sure why it is not everyone’s favorite color.” She is a licensed boat captain and lived on boats for 10 years with her husband and their dog. They have settled in Stuart where she now has a beautiful studio. She has a profound respect for water. She watches how the water moves, how it sculpts shorelines as well as deposits sand or takes it away.
