Dancing Fire Painting, Watercolor on Paper - Cotton 2019 Earl Rina

The goal of my artwork is to pursue my whimsical experiences and share with the world my visual adventures into watercolour and ink. I aim to show the connection between our daily encounters with our environment and the changing seasons. When travelling, I am inspired by the small details of nature that provide me with a sense of wonder. Experiencing nature to the fullest has allowed me to capture joyful feelings through painting and photographs. I continue to learn from the beauty of nature as I share this vision of joyfulness with the world.

Fabric, fiber fill, steel hooks. The focus of this piece was on using contradictory materials to change the perception of a recognizable object. I am rethinking what a pillow can be by using a shape with a different than the context of a pillow as well as using soft fabrics to recreate an intimidating and rigid metal form.
