At Bedford Girls’ School, we recognise the importance of good nutrition in helping everyone achieve their best.
Whether they are in the classroom, on the sports field or taking part in co-curricular activities, the girls’ energy levels and concentration are dependent on the food they eat and their enjoyment of it.
The social occasion offered by eating together also plays a big part in making sure your daughter is happy and relaxed at school. With a focus on quality, variety, health and taste, our catering offering, Green’s, provides all pupils with the very best selection of wholesome, delicious and nutritious meals to ensure breaks and lunchtimes are always a cause for celebration.
At Green’s, we use only the finest ingredients and all our meals are freshly prepared on the premises. Fresh fruit and salad are always available to girls opting for school lunches, many of them locally sourced and all hand-picked for quality the same day. The meat used in our recipes
comes solely from English farms and our dairy products and eggs meet stringent criteria to reach our exacting standards. We pride ourselves in catering for a range of dietary requirements and label all our food clearly so girls are able to make sensible, informed decisions about what they eat and how they choose to eat it.
With soups, salads, pasta and tasty jackets available, alongside our daily main courses, your daughter is certain to find plenty on the menu to excite her taste buds and introduce her to new flavours, alongside more traditional favourites. Our facilities also mean she can pick and choose which components make up her own balanced meal.
