Job Specification: Press and Marketing Officer Company: Bord Gáis Energy Theatre The Role Reporting to the Head of Marketing and PR, the role of the Press and Marketing Officer is to effectively promote Bord Gáis Energy Theatre brand by developing and implementing integrated PR & Marketing Strategies for a programme of varied events at the theatre. Main Duties and Responsibilities To develop PR and Marketing campaigns that support marketing and PR objectives To work closely and as part of the marketing department to implement and monitor marketing strategies that support marketing and PR objectives To implement agreed Marketing and PR plans To work effectively and within budget and deliver all deadlines To source and deliver all elements for all agreed marketing & PR campaigns on time and within budget To plan, negotiate and book marketing campaigns across: print/ radio/ TV/ outdoor/ online/ digital platforms To plan, devise and fulfill direct mail and e-zine campaigns (including data extraction and copy writing). To manage existing and develop key media relationships with all National/ Regional Media outlets with a strong focus on broadcast media To actively seek and achieve coverage across all media platforms To write and distribute Press Releases and various required PR material To devise creative pitches and ideas for PR and Marketing campaigns To oversee promotions strategy for events To pro-actively track sales and monitor campaign progress on an ongoing basis To oversee digital campaigns to tie in with overall PR message with a focus on: YouTube/ Facebook/ Twitter To maintain & update BGET’s online presence including website, social media and other digital platforms and media. To evaluate & analyse the effectiveness of PR strategies including media monitoring. Manage ‘Opening Night’ and ‘Opening Week’ PR and large scale ‘PRESS DAYS’ To work closely with PR and Marketing contacts from each event and generate reports when required To promote and achieve audience development and access objectives. Qualifications and Requirements
Ideally 3+years plus experience in a PR/ Marketing/ Communications role Entertainment Industry and marketing Experience an advantage Ability and Desire to work as part of a team A passion for PR and the arts/ entertainment industry Relevant Third Level Qualification or Equivalent
