Imagine a place where who you are, where you are from, or the circumstances that surround you do not determine your access to experiences or opportunities. Since 1957, that place for kids and teens in Topeka and Shawnee County has been the Boys & Girls Club. We believe that every kid has what it takes. The mission and core beliefs of Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka fuel our commitment to promoting safe, positive, and inclusive environments for all. We do not take a single approach to helping kids succeed. It takes caring mentors, a safe place like our Clubs that have consistently been there for kids over the past 66 years and innovative, quality programs designed to empower youth to excel in school and lead healthy, productive lives We do what it takes to ensure all kids have a great future.
Our focus over the next 3 years involves our most aggressive strategic initiative to close the opportunity gap for Topeka’s kids and teens, preparing them to be leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers who shape our city, our greater community, and our world We are committed to providing access to quality out of school programs, increasing equity by delivering high quality experiences that help youth reach their full potential in school, work, and life, and ensuring our Clubs are a safe environment for youth to thrive.
As we chart the future of Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka, we are committed to enhancing programs and our facilities, allowing us to serve more kids, more often, with greater impact.
Since 1957, it has been the community that has embraced Boys & Girls Club of Topeka, supported the mission, and strengthened the foundation to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Without volunteer, partner, donor, and alumni support, BGCT would not be who we are today. When kids have Clubs and Clubs have this group of supporters, there is no limit to what can be done for our youth!
Together we can continue to make life changing differences for kids and teens and build a stronger community Please join us on this journey

In July, 2023, Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka acquired the property immediately adjacent to our Adams Club location on 27th Street.
This property will allow for future expansion for BGCT, creating a campus-like setting with our existing Adams Club facility and bringing to life a premier Workforce Readiness Center for Teens that will help us ensure Great Futures for the kids in our community who need us most.
We would love to meet with you or your foundation to discuss the many opportunities for capital giving toward this life-changing project.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka's Adams Club is a fixture not only for our organization, but for the entire Topeka community. Every Saturday throughout the Fall, hundreds of families gather at the Club's Nellis Track & Field to watch Police Athletic League Flag Football games. You can also see neighbors enjoying time on the track every day of the year. A new play space would benefit not only the Club members at BGCT, but also the kids and families who enjoy time here every evening and weekend.
Our new vision for the Adams Club play area also honors the legacy of Elgin "Coach" Woody, who served as the Executive Director of BGCT for over 30 years. Even after his retirement, Coach would often take in "the best view in the city" while enjoying his lunch or a calm moment of serenity.
The design for this new play space includes elements that will appeal to kids and teens of all ages and abilities, as well as serene space to soak in the beautiful view of the Kansas Statehouse in Downtown Topeka.

That's NINE years of local corporations, organizations, and individuals showing up to support the kids and teens at Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka.
That's NINE years of ensuring that all 14 BGCT Club locations have the resources they need to support youth in our community through year-round programs.
That's NINE years of making a huge and tangible difference.
Kids spend more than 80% of their time out of school, which makes before-school, after-school, school day out, and summer programs so incredibly important. Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka provides safe spaces for kids to learn, get critical social emotional support, receive nutritious meals and snacks, and have fun while forming friendships with peers.
Contributions made during the annual Stuff the Bus event help support programs throughout the entire year! Consider hosting a drive at your company to engage your staff in a great cause!
Our 3nd annual Youth of the Year event will feature three incredible Club members who will share their personal stories and hope to be officially named BGCT Youth of the Year! That special teen will then go on to compete in the Kansas Youth of the Year competition!
This exclusive event will include sponsors and invited guests sharing a beautiful evening of music, food, fun, and celebration.
Our inaugural event featured the acoustic music and storytelling of Kansas native singer-songwriter, advocate, and friend of the Club, Chely Wright! The following year, we welcomed Jeremy Lister - vocal master, prolific songwriter, and member of Street Corner Symphony from NBC's The Sing-Off, a true fan-favorite!
We look forward to welcoming more tremendous talent in 2024 for this special evening honoring some of our incredible teens!

We would love the opportunity to share more about the vision for our new Workforce Readiness Center for Teens, as well as our Coaches Corner. It is our honor and privilege to serve the kids and teens who need us most in the Greater Topeka community - today and tomorrow - and we know we couldn't continue to dream, grow, and thrive without the generous support of our community.
