Thank you for joining us for this year ’ s Annual Gala & Auction. Whether you ’ re planning to join us in person on October 20, 2022 or you ’ re only joining us for the virtual auction, we ’ re thrilled to have you. The Annual Gala & Auction is the Club’s largest fundraiser and biggest celebration of the year. After two years of being virtual, it was important to us that we continue to offer a way to engage all of our supporters whether they can join us in person or not. I’m excited to share the ways that you can be involved this year and of course, I thank you for your support of our Clubs. If you have any questions about the bidding process, specific dates, or the anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

SILENT AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

By registering and bidding on items, you are agreeing to the following terms and rules:

All Bids Are Final. Once you have placed and confirmed a bid, your bid cannot be retracted. If you made a bid by mistake, please contact the Resource Development office (508 485 4912) immediately All purchases are final If you are deemed the winning bidder by placing the highest bid, your purchase is final and cannot be canceled. No refunds will be issued.

Sellers Terms: When you place a bid on an item or purchase a fixed price item, you are agreeing to any specific terms and conditions imposed by the seller and included by the seller in the item’s description. The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest is not responsible for setting these terms and does their best to adequately represent the restrictions through item descriptions and conditions Items are sold as is

Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to schedule, coordinate, negotiate or utilize purchased items directly with the seller. Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest is not liable for any of the items that were donated to our auction, nor is the Club responsible for connecting the sellers and buyers. If the purchaser is having difficulty connecting with a seller, the Clubs can assist with making an initial connection

Receiving Items: No items will be mailed or available for pick up until they are paid for In some cases, the winning bidder may be asked to contribute to shipping costs. This will be noted in the item description if applicable.

For the Annual Gala & Auction, bidders can opt to “self checkout” upon the completion of the auction on October 20, 2022 starting at 6:45 PM. Any bidders who have not checked out by noon (eastern time zone) on Friday, October 21, 2022 will have their credit cards charged automatically

Winners who are in attendance at the Annual Gala & Auction will be able to pick their items up during the event. For winners who are not in attendance, all items will be mailed via USPS or available for pick up the week of October 25, 2022. If you would like to use another method of payment other than the credit card on file, please call Laura Terzigni at 508 485 4912 ext 209 leave a voicemail if no answer and include your name and phone number by 11:30 AM on Friday, October 21, 2022

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

TO GET THE BEST EXPERIENCE BIDDING, DOWNLOAD THE GIVI APP AND FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW!

STEP 1 - From the Givi home screen, tap Login to log in to your account and enter the auction. If you still need to register, tap Find My Event, and then use the search to locate the event you'd like to register for.

STEP 2 On the Login screen, enter the email address and password you used when creating your account.

STEP 3 Once you ' ve logged in, you'll be on the Givi home screen. To enter the auction, tap Events at the bottom of the screen.

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

STEP 4 If you didn't save a payment method during registration, you'll be prompted to add a Payment Method and then to allow Notifications. We recommend you do both now for a smooth bidding and checkout process.

STEP 5 Once your account is set up and login is complete, you’ll be automatically redirected to the Auction Items page.

JUST SO YOU KNOW! - You can return to the Items page at any time by tapping the Home icon at the bottom of the screen.

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

STEP 6 - Using the search bar, you can search for an item's name or number, if you know it. At the top of the screen, you’ll see a variety of filter and sorting options.

STEP 7 You can change how the items are sorted and filter by item type, items with no bids, price range, reserve cost, and search tags.

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

STEP 8 Tap on a specific item to view the item detail page.

TIP! If you want to Watch an item, tap the heart icon for the item.

JUST SO YOU KNOW - Before you go into bidding on items, there are a few other areas of the app you’ll want to familiarize yourself with. The My Activity screen (indicated by the shopping cart icon) is where you can view the items you are Watching, Bidding on, Winning, and have Purchased.

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

STEP 9 Tap the tag icon to visit the Categories screen, where you can browse items by their information tags.

STEP 10 Tap the three horizontal lines icon to visit the Menu screen.

STEP 11 Finally, tap your bidder number to pull up the My Bid Paddle. The app will access your device’s camera so that you can scan an item’s QR code to view its details.

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

STEP 12 You can also use My Bid Paddle to pull up your own unique QR Code, which the event’s hosts can scan to assist you with bidding and checkout.

JUST SO YOU KNOW From the auction Home screen, you can bid on an auction item by swiping right on the bid slider.

STEP 13 The next highest bid amount will be placed for you, and you’ll be given the option to specify a Max Bid for the item. If you tap No Thanks, your initial bid will be placed, and you’ll be redirected to the Items page.

HOW TO BID - USING THE APP

STEP 14 You can also place a bid from an item’s details page, by tapping Bid at the bottom of the screen.

STEP 15 You’ll be prompted to specify your bid amount. Then tap Place Bid.

HOW TO CHECK OUT

STEP 1 When an item category ends, the countdown for the category will be replaced with a message that says, “Time’s Up”, and any item you were winning will now say, “You Won”.

STEP 2 When the auction’s host opens checkout for the item category, you’ll see a message displaying your remaining balance. If you ’ ve set up your Notifications, you’ll also see a notification badge on the bell in the upper left corner of the screen.

STEP 3 Tap the Remaining Balance message to be taken to the Checkout screen. Review your purchases, and then tap Submit Payment to finish checking out.

HOW TO CHECK OUT

Access to Checkout Screen You can access the Checkout screen by tapping the Menu icon and then tapping Pay Balance.

Another Way to access Checkout Screen is on the Purchased tab of the My Activity screen.

STEP 4 - Once you ’ ve submitted a payment, your Checkout screen will be marked Paid, and all paid amounts will be written in green. If you purchase additional items after paying your balance, the screen will update with newly added item amounts written in black and a new Amount Due in red.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

It is recommended that you bid using the Givi App, however, you can still Bid online using your desktop computer. Using your cellular device is NOT recommended!

STEP 1 - Once you ’ ve registered, you’ll see a button to Start Bidding

Now on the confirmation page to set up your auction account and bid on items.

STEP 2 - You’ll also receive an email of your auction ticket with a link to enter the auction. Look for an email with a subject line that includes, “Your [name of the auction] Ticket.”

The body of the email will also include a Start Bidding Now link.

STEP 4 You’ll be prompted to enter a new password. Then click Create My Password.

If you checked the box to Save payment for future use during registration, you won’t need to add a payment method when you enter the auction.

If you didn’t check the box, you’ll be prompted to add a Payment Method. You can skip this step and add a payment method later, but you won't be able to bid on items until you ' ve added one.

STEP 5 Once your account is set up and login is complete, you’ll be automatically redirected to the Auction Items page.
