By the year 2030, the Census Bureau projects that 20.2 percent of Kansas will be aged 65 or older. However, Kansas now ranks 10th among states in the percentage of the oldest old, that is, persons aged 85 and older. In fact, 7 of the top 17 counties in the U.S. with the highest percentage of the oldest old are in Kansas (Smith, Osborne, Cloud, Elk, Nemaha, Washington, and Comanche).

This popular feature is a way for your to showcase your organization, material, and services with those Professionals, Providers, and Volunteers attending, along with the Public invited to visit Exhibits for “FREE ADMISSION” (With LIMITED ACCESS to Conference).

Exhibit Booth Costs: $550 Paid Before 08/07/2013; $650 Paid After 08/07/2013. The Exhibit Booth Layout is included in this guide for your reference in selecting your Booth location. Exhibit Booth locations can only be confirmed after Application Form and payment are received.

Date/Hours of Exhibit The Exhibits will be open on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Thursday, September 5 2013, the Exhibits will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Set-Up Set-up hours for Exhibitors are from 2:00-10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Participants at the Conference will begin to visit the Exhibits on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. The Exhibit area closes on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. All Exhibits must be removed by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013.

Conference Breaks in Exhibition Area All Conference Breaks will be held in the middle of the Exhibition area in the Sunflower Room. This will insure all participants can meet with Exhibitors during the Conference.

Exhibitor Opportunities Display The display fee includes a skirted 8’ long by 30” deep table and 2 chairs. If you plan to display a banner, it must fit within your space. Any necessary equipment such as audio visuals, extension cords, etc. must be supplied by the Exhibitor. Or, the Exhibitor must make arrangements ahead of time to rent such items from the Capitol Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, and must be indicated on the Application Form. We encourage you to provide complimentary give-aways, materials, resources, or hold drawings at your individual displays.

Electricity Electrical outlets will only be provided when you order them on the Application Form. There will be an additional charge of $45 per outlet requested. Please indicate your electrical service needs on your Application Form.

Exhibit Fees & Confirmation Exhibit Booth: $550 if paid by July 17, 2013. $650 if paid after July 17 & before August 7, 2013.

Your organization will be confirmed as an Exhibitor upon the receipt of your Application Form and your check or payment by credit card on our Conference Website. You will be included in the Exhibitor list in the Conference Program provided your form and payment are received by the August 7, 2013 deadline.

Materials to be Shipped Arrangements for advance shipment of exhibit materials must be made with the Capitol Plaza Hotel & Convention Center (contact: Alison Connell, Sales Manager, at 785-431-4735). No shipments will be received at the Hotel prior to September 2, 2013. Storage space is limited. Vendors will be responsible for transporting, unloading, and setting-up their own materials on site. The 2013 Kansas Conference on Aging will not be responsible for materials prior to, during, or after the Conference.
