Eine Tasche ist für uns nachhaltig, wenn sie langlebig ist und ihrem Träger viele Jahre Freude bereitet. Um dies zu erreichen, arbeiten wir intensiv an der Langlebigkeit der Materialien, der Qualität des Handwerks und an der Zeitlosigkeit unserer Designs. Viele Modelle produzieren wir seit über 15 Jahren, die sich in Gestaltung und Funktion bewährt haben. Es sind die Klassiker der Harold’s Kollektion. Auf dieses Wissen aufbauend entwickeln wir stetig neue Modelle, die Sie hier vor allem in unserer Serie „Campo“ finden. We think a bag is sustainable if it has a long life and gives its owner years of pleasure. And how do we achieve this? By working hard to guarantee the durability of the materials, the quality of craftsmanship and the timelessness of our designs. We have been manufacturing some of our models for over 15 years and their design and functionality have successfully stood the test of time. These are the classics in Harold’s Collection. We buy this high quality and extremely light leather in Columbia where it is processed by hand by our long-standing partners. Campo pure bietet schlichte, schlanke und schnÜrkellose Kuriertaschen. Sie werden aus naturbelassenem Rindleder vegetabiler Gerbung gefertigt. Durch ihr geringes Eigengewicht sind sie sehr angenehme Begleiter – im Beruf oder in der Freizeit. Das Leder bekommt im Gebrauch eine individuelle Patina. Lining: graues Polyestergewebe. Campo pure styles are unpretentious, slim and straight. Thus the main character is made up by the vegetable tanned full grain leather with its unique natural surface and colors. Thanks to low weight, straight styling and useful internal design the campo bags are easy to wear and to combine. While being used each bag gets an unique patina. Lining: gray polyester fabric.

The chosen leather of „Saddle“ line shows a lively but also classical image. The straight shapes and the expressive seams create an own character of modern nostalgia. Die Antic Modelle werden aus robustem Leder gefertigt, das kleine Kratzer oder Unregelmäßigkeiten einfach absorbiert. Das geölte, gewachste und offenporige Leder entwickelt im Laufe der Zeit eine sehr schöne Patina. Die Kuriertaschen sind in ihrer äußeren Erscheinung ruhig und dezent gestaltet, bieten in ihrem Inneren jedoch komfortable Einteilungen für Handy, Geldbörsen, Stifte, Kreditkarten, Schlüssel oder andere Kleinigkeiten. Die großzügige nahtlose Lederfläche des Überschlags gibt dem schönen Leder Raum zu wirken. Die Überschläge werden mit Magnetverschlüssen gehalten. Lining: braunes Polyestergewebe The pieces of the Antic Collection are made of durable leather, which easily absorbs any kind of scratches or irregularities. The leather is oiled, waxed and porous. Due to these characteristics, the leather develops a very beautiful patina over time. The messengerbags are modest and subtle in their outer appearance but the interior offers a convenient arrangement of inner compartments that are suitable for a mobile phone, a wallet, pens, credit cards, keys or other utensils. The spacious and seamless upper flap leaves space for the fine leather to take effect. The upper flaps are fixed by magnetic locks. Lining: brown polyester fabric

Die Kombination des Antic-Fettleders mit Sattlerleder-Riemen verleiht den bewusst schlicht gehaltenen Modellen ihren lässigen Ausdruck. Unser robustes Antic Rind leder wird geölt und gewachst und ist in seiner Oberfläche offenporig. Dadurch absorbiert es einfach kleine Kratzer oder Unregelmäßigkeiten und entwickelt im Laufe der Zeit eine sehr schöne Patina. Lining: khaki-farbene Baumwolle. The combination of oiled leather with saddler leather straps gives a rather casual look. Therefore, the bags were deliberately kept simple. Our Antic cow leather is oiled, waxed and on its surface porous. Thus, the leather easily absorbs any kind of scratches or irregularities and develops a very beautiful patina over time. The lining is made of khaki colored cotton.

Seit 1985 produzieren wir in der Taschenmanufaktur in Bogota. Grundlage sind gesetzlich geregelte Arbeitsverträge und sozial versicherte Arbeitsplätze im Gegensatz zur verbreiteten Wanderarbeiterschaft. Die Richtlinien führen dazu, daß die Mehrzahl der Arbeiter seit über 20 Jahren in der Fabrik arbeiten, ein Umstand der wiederum die Voraussetzung für qualitativ nachhaltig produzierte Taschen ist, da das Know-how in der Fabrik bleibt, bzw. schrittweise ausgebaut werden kann. Die eingesetzten vegetabilen Leder stammen aus der unmittelbaren Region von Rindern, die – wie in Südamerika üblich – ganzjährig im Freien in den hohen Anden leben. Die eingesetzten Metallteile und Linings mit hoher Stichausreißfestigkeit werden ebenfalls direkt aus der Region bezogen.
Wir arbeiten mit einer indischen Manufaktur in der Nähe von Kalkutta zusammen. Harold‘s hat den Aufbau der Manufaktur seit den späten neunziger Jahren begleitet. Unsere Partner arbeiten mit SEDEX und Bureau Veritas zusammen. Beide Organisationen verfolgen ein Konzept, das den Unternehmen als Grundlage dient, auf freiwilliger Basis soziale und Umweltbelange in ihre Unternehmenstätigkeit zu integrieren. Die Verträge beinhalten eine Sozial-, Kranken- und Unfallversicherung, sowie 15 bezahlte Urlaubstage. Das Mindestalter liegt bei 14 Jahren, ab einem Alter von 18 Jahren darf aber erst die volle Arbeitszeit gefordert und geleistet werden. Durch eine konstant verteilte Auftragslage sorgt Harold‘s für die wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen, um ganzjährige Beschäftigung zu gewährleisten. Damit bleibt das aufgebaute Know-how in der Manufaktur – die Voraussetzung für eine gleichbleibend hohe Verarbeitungsqualität.
The cooperation with the Colombian manufactory was established in 1985. Basis are labour agreements and social securities regulated by law. As a result of these guidelines, most of the workers of our South American partner have been with the company for more than 20 years – a fact that guarantees profound and sustainable know-how and thus high quality of the products. The leather applied comes from the surrounding regions in South America. The same applies to the cattle, which live in the nature in South America and not in barns as most of the animals in Europe do. The metal parts and linings feature a high level of impenetrability and tear resistance.

The indian manufactory is a family run company located nearby Calcutta. The cooperation with Harold‘s began in the late nineties around the same time when the indian company has been established. They engaged SEDEX und Bureau Veritas in order to install social and environmental standards. The contracts contain social-, health- and accident insurances as well as 15 days of paid holidays. The minimum age of worker is 14, but only from the age of 18 years full working time is allowed. Being the main customer Harold‘s manages for constant order level in order to keep the worker employed during entire year. Thus know-how is kept in the manufactory, which guarantees quality oriented workmanship at high level.

Damit Ihre Tasche auch im täglichen Gebrauch besonders lange schön bleibt, haben wir hier unsere wichtigsten Tipps und Tricks zur Taschenpflege für Sie zusammengestellt.
You should definitely consider some things before using your new leather case in order to have maximum enjoyment with your new favorite accessory. We have compiled our most important tips and tricks to keep your pocket nice for everyday use. Generally, we use pored leather with some few exceptions. Through its open porosity the leather creates a self-care effect, caused by friction, light and above all by the sebum of hands: the bag gets a patina which makes it a unique single piece. The patina effect is stronger or weaker depending on the surface finish. Bumped gloss leather (the surface is a bit closed due to a kind of mechanical smoothing) change slowly, while all open-pored leather show an intense patina effect. It is only important to ensure that the leather does not dry out. This may happen when the bag is not in use or is exposed to strong sunlight for a longer period, by heat (e.g. when kept behind a window), when getting frequently wet while in use or when its surface is slightly battered (at the corners nd edges). Then you should perform a care treatment.
Generell verwenden wir mit wenigen Ausnahmen offenporige Leder. Durch die Offenporigkeit entsteht ein Selbstpflegeeffekt des Leders im Gebrauch, der durch Reibung, Licht und vor allem durch den Talg der Hände entsteht: die Tasche bekommt eine Patina und wird dadurch zum unverwechselbaren Einzelstück. Der Patinaeffekt ist je nach Oberflächenfinish stärker oder schwächer. Glanzgestoßene Leder (die Oberfläche ist durch eine Art mechanische Glättung etwas geschlossener) verändern sich langsamer, während ganz offenporige Leder einen intensiven Patinaeffekt zeigen. Wichtig ist lediglich darauf zu achten, dass das Leder nicht austrocknet. Dies geschieht vor allem dann, wenn die Tasche nicht benutzt wird, längere Zeit starkem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt ist, heiß wird (z.B. hinter einer Fensterscheibe), oder im Gebrauch häufiger nass oder abgestoßen wird (Ecken und Kanten). Dann sollte man eine Pflege vornehmen.

Pflegehinweise Je ölhaltiger das Spray, desto nachhaltiger und dauerhafter ist der erhöhte UV-Schutz. Jedoch verändert sich die Farbe stärker, je ölhaltiger das Spray ist. Die Veränderung nimmt jedoch im Verlauf wieder ab. Testen Sie den Effekt der Behandlung zunächst bitte an gedeckter Stelle (z.B. am Boden der Tasche). Empfehlung für die Anwendung: Generell gilt die Regel „weniger ist mehr“.
