A NEW PARADIGM IN HOLISTIC DENTAL CARE WITH FOUNDER DR. SARA SABOKPEY OF COMFY DENTAL STUDIO

Nestled in Beverly Hills' Golden Triangle, Comfy Dental Studio is transforming the dental experience. Founded by Dr. Sara Sabokpey, this practice is not just about dental health but a holistic approach to wellness, blending cutting-edge dental care with spa-like comfort.

Dr. Sabokpey, a UCLA graduate with a background in fashion design, engineering, and dentistry, has created a sanctuary where patients can enjoy their visits. “Dentistry allowed me to combine science and art, using

my hands to create something beautiful,” she reflects. This innovative blend of skills is the foundation of her practice.

At Comfy Dental Studio, the focus is on preventive and lifestyle dentistry. "We look at dentistry through a different lens, integrating it into overall wellness.” This means incorporating stress management, sleep therapy, nutritional counseling, social events and integrative services such as dental acupuncture and photobiomodulation into patient care." Advanced technology like laser dentistry for anesthesia-free fillings, and snore therapy, as well as ozone therapy ensures effective and comfortable treatments.

health but also transforms dental appointments into something enjoyable for both adults and children. It is especially beneficial for those who are fearful, have sensitive teeth, or wear braces.

From the moment patients enter, they are enveloped in a sensory experience designed to relax and rejuvenate. Aromatherapy, soft slippers, robes, and sound therapy on a vibrating bed create a soothing retreat. “Everything is designed to make each visit a relaxing experience.”

Dr. Sabokpey designed her office with the concepts of lifestyle dentistry and lifestyle medicine in mind, incorporating meditation and stress management to help patients overcome their fear of the dentist. "We tried to control that fear by bringing in soothing colors, grounding tones, and a lot of curves to create an appealing visual experience," she explains. "The whole concept is to make people very comfortable, so they feel like they are at a spa and look forward to their dental visits.

Dr. Sabokpey’s background in fashion design gives her an advantage as a cosmetic dentist. “I look at the balance and harmony of a person’s face to create personalized, beautiful smiles.” This artistic approach ensures that each patient's unique features are enhanced.

Looking ahead, Dr. Sabokpey plans to expand her practice. "Our goal is to spread this new wave of dental wellness.” Future locations are being considered in Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Newport Beach, and even on the East Coast, making comprehensive, comfortable, and integrative care accessible to more people.

Preventive care is paramount at Comfy Dental Studio. "We disclose the teeth, show the biofilm, and clean it off with a gentle power wash using the EMS airflow machine.”

This approach not only maintains oral

Dr. Sara Sabokpey and Comfy Dental Studio are redefining the dental experience. By blending advanced dental care with holistic wellness, they offer a truly unique and transformative experience. “We want to change the narrative of what it means to go to the dentist.” With her innovative approach, dental visits are no longer something to dread but an opportunity for selfcare and wellness.

HONOREES

Dela Peykar Ronen, 34

OWNER/MANAGING PARTNER, RONEN PRIVATE WEALTH PC

"Success is making a meaningful impact in the lives of others and contributing positively to the community," says Dela Peykar Ronen, a private wealth planning attorney who balances a demanding career with active involvement in her children's school and community. Nominated for her work with the Beverly Hills Education Foundation and her role on the Executive Board of the Fiduciary Committee of CCIM Greater Los Angeles, Dela excels both professionally and personally.

Dela's journey in law began with a passion for helping families secure their futures. "One pivotal moment in my career was deciding to start my own law firm. It allowed me to dedicate myself fully to estate planning and providing personalized services to my clients." This decision, though challenging, was incredibly rewarding and taught her the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and leadership.

Despite her professional demeanor, something that might surprise people about Dela is her playful side. "I love engaging in creative activities with my three young daughters. Whether it's crafting, storytelling, or planning fun family outings, I find ways to nurture their creativity and imagination."

At the top of Dela's bucket list is taking her family on an extended trip around the world. "Experiencing different cultures and environments is invaluable for broadening one's perspective.” This goal aligns with her desire to foster a deeper appreciation for the diversity and beauty of our planet.

Dela draws inspiration from the incredible sense of community in Beverly Hills. "The way residents come together to give back is truly inspiring. The numerous opportunities to participate in community events and support local causes create a strong, cohesive environment where everyone feels connected."

Her advice for those starting out in estate planning is simple: "Prioritize empathy and active listening. Understanding your client's needs and building trust is crucial. Strong, genuine relationships lead to better outcomes for clients and a more fulfilling career.”

Jasmine Talei, 34

NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR

"My greatest satisfaction comes from receiving emails where patients share their success stories of naturally restoring their health," says Jasmine Talei, a naturopathic doctor and Beverly Hills resident. Jasmine runs a thriving private practice dedicated to promoting health by addressing the gut microbiome, hormonal balance, and environmental toxins. Her approach combines modern diagnostics with herbal medicine, hormone therapy, and nutrition.

"Success, for me, is measured by the lives I impact and the enduring health improvements I facilitate." She believes in going beyond medication, guiding her patients toward long, healthy lives through education and fostering self-sufficiency.

A pivotal moment in Jasmine's career was when she began treating patients with mold-related illnesses. "This journey led me to concentrate on mold-related illness, a frequently underestimated issue with profound implications." Initially, this focus emerged from her work with women suffering from breast implant illness.

"At the top of my bucket list is expanding my herbal supplement line," says Jasmine, fueled by her passion for the diverse benefits of herbal medicine. "I'm particularly excited about developing an adrenal support blend and a new sleep-enhancing formula."

She finds inspiration from her sense of community in Beverly Hills. "Everywhere I go, I connect with people on a personal level. This tight-knit community profoundly influences my work, reminding me of the importance of human connection and relationships in my professional endeavors."

Her advice for those starting in her field is simple: "Approach every patient as if they were a cherished member of your own family. This personal touch fosters trust, promotes healing, and enhances the quality of care you provide."

In addition to her practice, Jasmine is actively engaged in community organizations that foster economic development and humanitarian efforts, reflecting her deep commitment to the well-being of Beverly Hills.

John Blubaugh, 39

MEDICAL DEVICE SALES PROFESSIONAL, INVESTOR

"The ability to shape my future in a way that allows me to reach my full potential and help others achieve theirs is how I define success," states John Blubaugh, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a standout in the medical device sales industry. Currently serving as a Neurovascular Territory Manager with Johnson & Johnson MedTech, John has spent much of the last decade ensuring Southern California healthcare facilities, such as Cedars Sinai Medical Center, are equipped with the latest technology, providing critical clinical and technical support.

John's dedication to mentorship and community service shines through his extensive volunteer work. "Serving in the Marine Corps taught me lessons in leadership, humility, and tenacity," he reflects. “Leading Marines involves mentorship. Having also been blessed with mentors of my own, I have developed a passion to help guide others as they explore their own versions of success.”

Something that would surprise people about John is his Southern roots. "I seem to have adopted a stereotypical Southern California surfer’s accent along the way,” he jokes, “but I was actually raised in the beautiful state of Mississippi. My parents gave me a lot of freedom outdoors, so I grew up fishing, hunting, and playing in the woods," This unique upbringing has endowed him with a sense of adventure, hospitality, and the importance of community.

John's aspirations extend beyond his current accomplishments. "I am particularly fascinated by organizations exploring the ocean, space, and providing global humanitarian and wildlife aid," he says, outlining his ultimate goal to engage in large-scale philanthropic ventures and explorations. His bucket list includes embarking on entrepreneurial ventures that will allow him to achieve that objective.

"Beverly Hills is infamous for being a collective community of driven individuals pursuing their passions and bringing their visions to fruition," John notes. "For someone like me who has wild aspirations and intends to live life to its fullest, it is incredibly inspiring."

John's advice to those starting in his field is simple yet profound: "Have integrity. Always do the right thing even when no one is looking."

Justin Rostami, 18

CO-FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR, ACRYLIC LOS ANGELES

"Each piece of clothing we sell is one-of-a-kind, representing our distinct character," says Justin Rostami, co-founder of clothing brand Acrylic Los Angeles. Growing up in Beverly Hills' tight-knit Persian Jewish community, Justin noticed a drift driven by societal pressures. Along with co-founders Madison, Shayna, and Matai, he launched Acrylic Los Angeles to celebrate personal expression and individuality through unique hand-painted garments.

Despite his strong interest in the arts and creative expression, Justin is equally passionate about medicine and healthcare. "Growing up in a family of doctors, I've found that both realms place human identity at the core of their work," he explains. In the fall, Justin will study psychobiology at UCLA, continuing his interest in the intricacies of our bodies and why we are who we are.

"I believe success is when one feels internal fulfillment from their actions and sees those actions making positive changes in the world around them," Justin notes. His clothing brand has been a journey of self-discovery and a project meant to alter constrictive mindsets. The insights he's gained have taught him to believe beyond the bounds we set for ourselves.

Justin advises those starting in his field to focus on constructing the identity of their project. "Envision exactly how you want your brand to be recognized before you start building it," he suggests. This helps ensure the features you wish to share and express are translated clearly.

At the top of Justin's bucket list is establishing a secure and thriving lifestyle in Beverly Hills. "This aspiration comes from a deep commitment to giving back to Beverly Hills and ensuring it remains a stimulating environment for others," he says.

Growing up in Beverly Hills, Justin has come to understand the privilege of being surrounded by such a spirited community. "Every individual here has their unique story to share, yet we are all connected through our shared love for growth and grandeur.” Beverly Hills has taught him the potential that lies within communal bonds and the importance of believing in one's ambitions.
