Crossman Square is the gate to Crossman neighborhood. A Place to gather and connect with SVL residents, workers and visitors. Space large enough to be programmed for public events but intimate enough to be a daily space to take advantage of surrounding retail and restaurant offerings

The setback strategy aims to address a number of different edge conditions with principles around human scale, interaction, privacy and level conditions. 0' min. setbacks are applied in areas with active frontages and minimum level differences. 5' min setbacks are in where there's a need for small thresholds and landscape strips. 10' min. setbacks are applied to larger level differences that require larger private buffer zones with landscaping and thresholds.

Architecture work

Shanghai Lujiazui CBD, the segragation of urban fabric caused by mega-infrastructure, the 12-lane motorway, the "objects" office tower clusters careless of the ground activities but the vertical efficiency, has been a typical problem for CBD urban area development. In this project, the edges conditions are identified as the opportunity buffering zone to reconnect the CBD grains to the surrounding urban fabric. The reconceptualization of the edge is to exploit the access, the landscape, the mixture of typologies and etc.

Could the vibe of surrounding neighborhood spread to the CBD zone? Could the non-human scale planning of CBD be transformed into a pedestrian friendly planning? and bring the park/open space landuse to the public? Can edges act as an absorbable organic system to both sides?

Considering the office building nowadays mostly designed as boring blocks, this design is intended to explore an office building mode 2.0, to emphasize the comfortability of the office workers using this building, making the place a vibrant and environmental friendly office park.

TangshanBay Kindergarden

Our site is located in TangshanBay, which is a resort and residential district near the sea.The concept of using the wave form to develop a integral landscape architecture is conceived. Then I focused on develop the relationship of the different function zones to be integrated and set the plans, doing the improvements of the landscape slope.

From the infinite sea, we fetch a piece of wave and intoduce it into site. classroom spaces are like ships riding on the wave, bearing the dreams and the future of children.

Extension of traditional classroom, provide children environment of learning from nature, and various spatial experience

Staircase inserted natuarally in the slope landscape, will be a multi-use activity space, for entertainment and flexible teaching.

High-rise Textile Factory

This project as required by the client, for its future possible use as office building, the factory is designed with consideration of both suitable for factory requirements and office demands. The final facade design is the simplification of the textile texture with clean finishes.

Museum of Chinese Art Paper

In this project, the versatile open space is fully explored. The Chinese Paper Museum features its special experience to let visitors immersed in the holes and interior space of paper. The circulation is designed to be natural and inviting. Different functions is connected well and the visual contact of inside and outside is provided.

Office-Commercial Complex

Our site is located in center Luohu district, Shenzhen, featured with the long narrow shape of land. The extreme condition pushed us to think about how to transform this high density complex mass into a building that accomplish its landmark ambition and makes it look gorgeous from every street perspective. Meanwhile, we coped with the car parking issue by elevating the mechanical parking from the ground. The shopping function is integrated with underground landscape and metro transportation.
