BT parents give our day school top marks in recent survey Parents of Beth Tfiloh day school students participated in an online Parent Survey, which was completed last fall. The survey was conducted to provide data for our school’s re-accreditation Self-Study required by the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS). Measuring Success, LLC, an independent survey firm that specializes in Jewish organizations, administered the survey. Over 32,000 parents from 90 Jewish day schools and yeshivot across North America have participated in this survey over the past 6 years. We are proud to report a 72% response rate among our parents; this level of participation reflects the commitment of our parent community. The school’s administration and lay leaders recently reviewed the survey findings with a Measuring Success consultant. The Parent Survey was designed to help our school understand and/or identify: • Demographic trends • Financial sustainability • Areas of strength and weakness • How our school compares to other schools • Perceived value of our school • Parent understanding of our school’s mission • Changes in parent perception since our prior parent survey in 2011

We are pleased to report that 87% of our parents agree or strongly agree with this statement and would recommend our school to a friend. Additionally, our school was the top rated school within our “peer group” (other K-12 Jewish day schools with more than 500 students) in the following areas: • Likelihood to recommend our school to other Jewish families • Fostering care and commitment for Judaism • Promoting a love of Israel • Graduates are academically wellprepared for their next school environment • Developing critical thinking skills • Graduates have access to multiple attractive academic options • Parents feel part of a social community of parents • Opportunities for involvement • Formal commuications are clear and organized
