The Women Bringing People Together By Bringing Us Our Magazine Each Month
I
mentioned in my “Dear Friends & Neighbors” note introducing this month’s edition of Marple Friends & Neighbors that March is Women’s History Month, which is intended to bring awareness to the contributions of women in history as well as in our contemporary society. In my Page 3 memo, I named some women whose “contemporary contribution” to Marple’s hometown magazine is invaluable to me. As we celebrate the contributions of women this month, I want to thank those ladies here again, beginning with my wife, Jean Blaisse, who is always my first choice for a second opinion, and always my biggest supporter from the first day we decided to launch Marple’s first monthly magazine. Thank you, Jean, for your behind-the-scenes contributions to contemporary society each month, as we meet our magazine print deadline. As readers, you’ve come to know our Content Coordinator, Olivia Whitney, who with her husband Craig, brings everything together each month, organizing interviews and content

with our other agents of feminine genius: our magazine Designer, Kim Cesati, and our Photographer, Michele Moran. Ladies, your craft is memorialized every month, with each new edition of Marple Friends & Neighbors, and our “contemporary society” in Marple Township is better for it! Thank you. I’m thankful too for the contributions of my Executive Assistant, Liz Burnett, who keeps me on time and takes calls with our local business leaders who choose to use their limited marketing budgets for more than just advertising, by choosing “sponsorship” of the residents of Marple Township through their magazine. That brings me to the women business owners and operators we all must thank for their contributions to our “contemporary society,” for their business leadership and sponsorship of the Marple community. These are the women sponsors of Marple Friends & Neighbors magazine who we can thank for Bringing People Together: Jen Sciulli, co-owner of Len Sciulli & Sons Heating & AC; Mary Rosato, owner of Salon Bella; Karen Farrelly, co-owner of D&K Appliances; Samantha Walsh, Operations Manager of Freddy’s Steakburgers; and Lisa Allodoli, co-owner of Broomall Eye Care. Thank you, Ladies! Your leadership and contribution to our contemporary society is recognized every month by the readers of Marple Friends & Neighbors, whom I invite to always Shop Local, and whenever possible, to always choose to do business first with our sponsors in gratitude for bringing our hometown magazine to us each month.
