Orchid Lovers: Don't miss the beautiful and educational annual SEPOS show April 5-7 in Oaks, PA
by William Keating

Founded in 1947, the Southeastern PA Orchid Society (SEPOS) is a non-profit organization comprised of a diverse group of people who share a common interest in the plant family known as Orchidaceae-Orchids. The Society promotes the enjoyment of orchids and the protection of orchid habitat through education, conservation and research.
We meet monthly from Sept. through June. SEPOS members include novices, casual growers, windowsill growers, under light growers, greenhouse, and professional growers. Visitors are always welcome.

SEPOS is recognized as one of the more active orchid societies and has one of the largest show tables at each meeting. We usually have 100 or more plants on the show table at any given meeting.
We also enjoy the accredited American Orchid Society (AOS) judges who are members. The judges evaluate all the plants and award selected plants and explain the reasons for their selection.
Prior to the main meeting, we have a beginners class to educate and answer questions from new orchid enthusiasts. At the main meeting, we have a guest speaker chosen from among the most knowledgeable orchid personalities from around the world. Refreshments are included.

SEPOS hosts one of the largest international Orchid Shows in the Northeast.
This annual show runs April 5-7 in Hall E. at the Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. It occupies approx. 12,000 square feet.
