• A. The 1330 has a less powerful motor a 10 amp the 9595 has a 12 amp motor!

• A. It works on hard surfaces, but I'm going to say not as well. I have the 9595 with adjustable brush height and used it on my laminate floors and it tends to shoot debris backwards towards you as you're vacuuming. I had to start sweeping my laminate floors into a pile and using the hose/wand.

•Q. Is this good for use on a carpet, in a small room?

• A. I use it for a large area rug in my living room and it's great. I have two Akitas and they are shedding right now and it picks up dirt and fur with no problem.

• A. I would go with a more expensive model next time it seem to collect dirt at the top of the canister and only used a couple time and filter already getting dirty plus it doesn't have a vac only the brush stays on all the time.

• A. The brush is pretty powerful but on the highest setting it would sometimes push/pull a little harder on our medium pile carpet. I'm a little concerned that it might work extra hard on a shag or very high pile rug.
