VIMSARC Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for various courses of the institute are given in the table below:
MBBS/BDS
Eligibility
Students must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General (40% for SC/ST) category as prescribed by MCI/DCI.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit of the NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) examination
B. Sc Nursing Eligibility
Passed PUC/10+2/Equivalent with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology) and English with an aggregate of 50 %
For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the aggregate must be no less than 40%.
Preliminary selection will be based on the candidates’ performance in their qualifying examination. The final selection will be based on an interview attended by the candidate.
B. Sc Paramedical Sciences Eligibility
Candidates shall have passed a Pre-Degree course from a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as principal subjects of study.
Selection will be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
MD/ MS Eligibility
Candidates must have an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. They must complete their internship on or before 30th April.
Candidates must appear and qualify NEET.
Must clear the Common Entrance Test of Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore for the Government Quota
MDS Eligibility
Candidates must have a BDS degree from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India.
Candidates must clear the NEET (National Eligibility & Entrance Test) conducted on an all India basis.
M. Sc Nursing Eligibility
Passed B. Sc. Nursing (Basic & Post Basic) with 55% aggregate marks
Minimum one-year experience after B. Sc. Basic Nursing, No experience required for candidates with Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing Registered with the State Nursing Council as a registered nurse & registered midwife
Selection will be made on the basis of qualifying examination, followed by an interview by the management.
M. Sc Paramedical Sciences Eligibility
Candidates must have passed the B. Sc. Paramedical Science in the relevant stream.
Selection will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying degree.
