Traveling can be a very enjoyable experience. However, the negative effects of travel cannot be ignored. One problem that arises is being overly reliant on technology. This may lead to an increased risk of depression and anxiety due to a reliance on social media as opposed to real-life interaction with people. Another issue that arises when traveling abroad is the lack of access to healthcare which can lead to health problems such as menstrual cycles not being regular anymore or people suffering from heart disease because they did not have adequate access while they were away from their usual place of residence (which should have been provided by the government).

Bringing cultures together One of the greatest benefits of traveling is that it helps you understand other cultures, and in turn, the world. By seeing and experiencing places outside of your own culture, you can learn more about different people's ways of life. You may also have an opportunity to get connected with local people who can share their stories with you. Many travelers are surprised at how much they enjoy interacting with locals once they actually meet them face-to-face instead of online or through a phone call. Traveling will help challenge your perceptions about who others are based on what we see in movies and read about in books; it will also show you how complex humanity really is when compared side-by-side with our own experiences growing up as children within one specific subculture (i.e., being American).

Creating more jobs While traveling can be difficult, it can also create jobs. If you need to book a room or a flight and the person who sells you those things is doing so because they travel, then you have created work for that person. Moreover, if they don't buy the product themselves but instead do it as a business (i.e., as a hotel owner), then you have created more jobs by creating demand for their services. I want to emphasize that I'm not saying that every time someone travels on vacation or for business, they are creating jobs—but I am saying that oftentimes, this is what happens when people travel!
