The closer we get to the holidays the more miserable I get. I don't really know why but for some reason over the last few years I just get that way. Christmas is mums favourite holiday, and I try not to ruin it for her but sometimes it's hard to put on the act. With all that has happened this year, I've learnt how to put a convincing smile. Most times its only there to put my mum at ease. Although I'm just fooling myself, she seems to buy it. Maybe we both fake a front face, to protect our inner emotions. Maybe we just put it up the front face, that we believe the other wished to see. Although she had it tough, when my father left her, all she had was me. I stayed by her side through tough times. Over the years, I matured at a younger...show more content...
The brightness of the morning light and the stillness of the atmosphere made my palms drench in sweat, as I breathed, rapidly but shallow, to the unknowingness of the object. It was no bigger than a tissue box. Its white fluffy texture, and small black eyes glared in my direction. Suddenly it filled my heart with warmth, and joy. I walked closer to the object, and a strong, warm smile started to grow on my face. I was my long–lost teddy bear Charlie. I picked it up and gave it a hug it, the smell of the plush indelibly stamped my memory. The smell evoked my earliest memories. It was filled with images of my father at moments, where he was laughing as we played hide and seek together as I carried Charlie around, and the time where he first cut my hair and times where I was scared so I squeezed Charlie. And, now, as I stand on the same hall way, feeling the warmth of the sun on my face, almost 4 years later, I can't help but think of him. I can't help thinking of him, and all the pain he instilled into both, my mum and I during his final years, a burning sensation of hated grew every time I thought of him. Life changes so fast. Life changes in the instant. You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends with the someone you once loved. I then wondered how this got placed here, it was unusual, because I passed the same spot every morning, not noticing it. The vivid evocation of father taking it was distant as I remember

Think Argentina. Think breathtaking countryside. Think ranch style accommodation out in the wilderness with nothing but you and your horse... Think you could manage a riding getaway? No better way to explore the absolutely stunning Argentinian countryside than on the back of a horse. In fact add Chile, Mongolia, Spain, South Africa and Morocco to the list too!
Cycling Holidays
When I think of cycling holidays my mind wanders straight over to Europe. The idea of cycling through the French countryside, the Austrian Alps or the Croatian coastline almost has me drooling. These type of holidays are not meant so much for cycling enthusiasts, but your average person who wishes to get from A to B in a slightly less typical manner. They will take your luggage for you to each destination allowing to cycle at your own pace through the day, stopping where you wish... be it a restaurant or that gorgeous little

My Winter Holiday Essay
Like last winter holiday, I did a part–time job for a month in order to experience social life and earn some extra money. After seven days when I stayed at home, I went to a local supermarket and found a job which to promote the products. It was good for me because I just had to spend 6 hours per day to work outside. Nevertheless the biggest shortcoming is that during the work time I had no time to play with my friends and relatives. Thus, I didn't do anything fun until Feb.20. At the end of the holiday, I went to see a midnight movie and ate BBQ with my friend. I did feel happy when I could have fun with old friends and spend time earning some money. All in all, I enjoyed my winter holiday! Warm–up #2 If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? If I can go to any place in the world, I want to go to Finland most. The idea comes from a variety show. It shows me a beautiful Finland. Snow gleams white there, like a kingdom that is covered by snow. We can go fishing on the frozen river, and sit on the sleigh car pulled by reindeer. We can also see the aurora. Finland, home of Santa Claus, it has a famous Christmas town. Finnish people are very friendly, if I get a chance, I'd like to go...show more content...
It is because I personally like to eat dessert very much. I think it can bring person the feeling of happiness. I believe that most people love eating dessert. Becoming a dessert chef, spread my dessert chain all over the world. What a wonderful thing it is! Every time when i pass the coffee shop around the corner, I can't do anything but to go inside. Drinking a cup of warm coffee, tasting a mouthful of soft pastries, and the shop is filled with the fragrance, which makes person fully relaxed and forget the worries. Dessert could increase your happiness when you feel pleasant, it could remove your bad mood when you are down. To become a dessert chef who brings happiness to everyone is my simple and ordinary dream

I have recently visited Yosemite National Park with my friends on a Memorial Day Weekend. This is the first public holiday of the year every working American gets since New Year so we expected it's going to be really busy and crowded. Yosemite National Park, is truly one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been. Although I had an amazing time, I wish I had done more planning before going to see this magnificent creation of nature. To avoid disappointments, I listed a few things below on WHAT TO EXPECT, WHAT TO DO AND NOT TO DO when visiting Yosemite National Park. Plus, I am going to be giving you the best tip ever to enjoy glacier point without queueing for hours!

If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the City and just want to see quintessentially English villages and a beautiful countryside then you would like Cotswolds. Cotswolds is where you can find the most beautiful village in England called Bibury. Would you believe that, I have lived in England for 7 years and never ever visited Cotswolds, until I moved to Los Angeles and came back to England to visit Mr Explorer's parents. Every year, we would visit England and take Mr Explorer's parents for short break somewhere nice. This time we decided we would take them to Cotswolds.
How to get there? Cotswolds is about 2 hour 10 minutes' drive from London via M40 and A40. We rented a car as it's always more comfortable than taking the train. You can explore the surrounding areas better that way.

My favorite holiday is one where I run downstairs nervous and happy at the same time waiting for the moment I start opening gifts. This holiday I am talking about is Christmas because of the traditions, decorations, and the fact that it can bring families together.
To begin with I love the traditions that we have for Christmas. In the first place, we always make the same food every Christmas. For example, we concoct a dish called paneer butter masala. This dish consists of cottage cheese squares in a smooth, creamy sauce made up of onion and cashews. We also make a pear butter cake that has at least a pound of butter. These foods are my sister and my favorites and when we go to a restaurant we order these foods. Equally important is our Christmas tree. My sister and mom make intertwined rings consisting of construction paper. This creation perfectly describes our family because it shows how we are a very creative family and makes do with what we have. This creation surrounds the tree and looks very crafty. Furthermore, we always put the ornaments on the tree as a family. My mom hands out the ornaments and my dad, sister and I put the ornaments on the tree. My dad puts the ornaments where my sister and I can't reach. My sister puts the ornaments on the bottom and I put them in the middle. When all the ornaments are finally on the tree we put our paper ring creation on the tree along with the lights. While my sister and I put the lights on my mom and dad put the topper. Without a doubt, the traditions we have as a family are my favorite part of Christmas.
It is my belief that the decorations are another great part of Christmas. In fact, I love the decorations so much I volunteer to put up the decorations. My favorite type of decorations are the ones outside. The part I admire most about the decorations is the projectors we got last year. We received these projectors as a gift from a friend. We used them last year and they looked marvelous. Many of our friends that went to our house commented on them. They can be used at any time of year and have images of everything from Santa to fireworks. One more part I admire about our outdoor decorations are the lights we have in the bushes and the gutters. My Favorite Holiday
It's that wonderful time of year where the leaves change color, the weather gets colder and yes, there is pumpkin spice. There is also one of my favorite holidays which brings horror movies, scary dГ©cor, costumes and trick or treating. I tend to go a little crazy with Halloween, or at least as far as our budget allows. And with three kids and one income, you would be surprised with all the things you can do. All you need is an open mind and some creativity, and maybe Pinterest.
I've been decorating my house for the holidays ever since I moved out on my own at 19. Back then I started with a tiny tub of cheap decorations and now 13 years later I've overflowed two huge tubs. My twins are going on five years old this year and are really starting to appreciate things like decorations and the efforts I put into it. Now while I can't go buy the two story inflatable dragon to put in the front yard, the kids love the "spooky house" I have put together this year.
First things first, the dollar store is your friend. And while everything is $1 you can find some really great decorations there. With some well–placed spider webs and plastic spiders the living room is transformed into my worst nightmare. Now if I can just remember in the middle of the night when I run into one that it is, indeed, plastic. I previously said that I've built up quite a collection of items which is thanks to the after Halloween sale. There is where majority of items can be bought at 50%–75% off. That is really

The 7–day stay in Zermatt, Switzerland was my favorite trip to date. The crisp, chilly air. The clear and blue skies and greenery everywhere blanketed by snow. It was a town I wouldn't mind to live in for the rest of my life. It was the perfect place to unwind in after the hardest trip ever from Milan.
It was pretty early when we started to get into our taxi for the 30–minute ride to Milano Centrale, the city's most famous station and landmark. But it was 10 minutes into the ride when we had received a call from the hotel, saying that there is one piece of luggage that they had forgotten to load into the taxi. As we were in a very tight schedule, we urged the taxi driver to try to beat the traffic so that we wouldn't miss ourtrain. We finally...show more content...
Italy was known for its reckless drivers and complicated streets, so naturally we got stuck in the middle of it. As we inched slowly through the traffic, I could hear my dad sigh repeatedly and my sister starting to get impatient, bombarding my mom with questions regarding our trip and destination. It was then when we had noticed our driver was muttering in Italian with an alarmed look on his face, I leaned forward and followed his gaze towards the station which was just a few miles ahead. That was when I noticed a huge crowd occupying the street in front of the station. It was evident by the colorful signs and muted chants that a protest that was taking place. There were cars and trucks and army police surrounding them, barking commands in Italian while they get yelled at by the enraged protestors. All of a sudden, a deafening boom shook our cab, and the next thing we see are hundreds of people running in all directions as the police threw sound bombs. We were terrified to say the least, gawking out the window and the flurry of Italian youth clambered through the traffic to get away from the advancing forces. Eventually after waiting for so long, traffic was diverted to go around the complex and finally reaching the back of the train

Christmas is my favorite holiday. I was so excited since it was only 1 day away!!! I already made my christmas list which include this: Iphone 8 plus Soccer cleats Soccerball
I'm 13 years old, so I surely know that Santa doesn't exist (sorry for destroying yalls hope). My older brother and I been knew that our parents buy the presents and leaves it under the tree so they can make it look like santa came. Though my little baby brother doesn't know that so let's make him think that. But we also don't want our parents to know that we know that they are the ones who bring the presents so we keep that lowkey. But woooohh let me tell yall the day we actually did believe it was Santa. So it wasChristmas Eve and my brothers and I knew we would have presents in the morning. That night we decide to sleep early around 9:00 p.m. I went to my room and fell asleep. Though I woke up to ANdres coming in my room screaming "KIMMM!!" So my first instinct was to scream too. We tried to turn on the light but the power went off. The next thing I know I was hugging him. Suddenly the lights came on and we noticed we hugging. So we quickly pushed each other and pretend nothing happen. We

My favorite holiday is Christmas. Traditionally celebrated at home, Christmas is thought to be a family holiday. However nowadays the habits and ideas of people have changed very much and Christmas becomes more of the global holiday when it is appropriate to meet with many friends and go out for the round the night crazy celebration. Every person finds his own most favorite things about Christmas. In this small essay I will examine what this holiday means to me, and what are the best parts of it that I personally enjoy. As for me, the best thing about Christmas is that special feeling in the air that is giving every person happiness and hope for the better future in the next year.

I enjoy the process of preparing for the holiday very much. Our whole family participates in the process. For many years I am responsible for the decoration of the house. I like putting the Christmas toys on the tree and lighting the candles. Also I go outside the house and see what can be decorated there. Especially I like when it snows outside. The snow is a symbol of the Christmas; to me it is also a symbol of the renewal and cleanliness of the upcoming event. In addition the streets are simply decorated already when it is snowing outside. In conclusion I would like to summarize the factors that make Christmas a particularly interesting and great holiday.
First of all, I enjoy the unique atmosphere of the holiday. The feeling that is present in the air at those days cannot be compared to anything else. The feeling of Holy joy and happiness arises every living thing to do good and kind things. The second thing that attracts me the most about the holiday is that during these days every person somehow goes back to the childhood. The presents under the Christmas tree along with congratulations from everyone in the street allows the person to feel himself young and full of strength, like in the days of youth when everything was possible and no worries could frighten him. The last but not least thing about
