With some of the teachers here we can joke about life and anything at an appropriate level. I really connect with this type of teachers. So my experiences in their classroom really inspire me to become a teacher who care for their students, and build a connection where the students is comfortable to share anything with me. Q1. Why do you want to be a teacher?

A1. There are couple reasons why I want to be a teacher. To begin with, my mother is a teacher, working in North China Electric Power University, so since young I have learned a lot about universities and I have seen many benefits of being a teacher. For instance an university teacher would have a more flexible schedule as well as summer vacations thus they can spend more time on their topic to do research, also with their children, bringing them to see the world. Furthermore, school is a place that is idealized, without any darkness as in the actual society. This is the place where people can pursue their academics quietly. In addition, my family is in China and I cannot ask them to come with me to a foreign country after they are retired. I do not want them to feel unacquainted and lonely.

Q9.What do you think is improvable in China's current education system?

A9. China's current education system is already great, but it could be better if students are driven by their thirst for knowledge, not the mark, approval. Since starting from university there would not be teachers or parents pushing you anymore, students should actually demonstrate autonomous learning ability and right learning habits during previous school years. Furthermore, our education system should consider more of practice and reality, as well as students' physical and psychological health.

Q10. If we offered you this job, would you accept it?

A10. To be honest, I would be pretty glad if I am accepted but I would still discuss with peers and mentors to make the final decision. To explain, Tsinghua University collects the top students and professors in China, thus it would be quite challenging and stressful. INTRODUCTION I believe that because I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. Not only have I wanted becoming a teacher for many years, but also I have had many teachers in my past, good and bad, who have assisted me in realizing that teaching was the profession for me. Teaching is a challenging task. One shall perform his duty with the highest degree of excellence, professionalism, intelligence, skill, and with utmost devotion and dedication to ensure the quality of education. It is also the noblest profession. A teacher carries numerous responsibilities. Her task is not just simply delivering the lesson inside the four corners of the classroom but rather serves as the second parent of the students and therefore loves and cares for her students like her real children. As an educator, I strongly believe that nurturing and nourishing all students must be my utmost concern. I dream of students whose fullest potentials are developed to make them become responsible citizens. They must be properly taught to read, write and speak both English and a second language. They must use these languages as an avenue for self–improvement and community building. They must know how to process ideas, compute numbers, solve problems, apply concepts, and make decisions for themselves to make them empowered learners. They must be students who are always hungry for knowledge,

Teaching isn't a bad job but I want more of a safe guard when it comes to money and my job. I don't know how much longer they plan to keep teachers around with technology growing. This is something that need to change because the only thing that it's doing is hurting our students.

In the past 40 years we know what works as well as what doesn't work yet in still we are doing the doing the wrong things in the field of education which is creating dropout factories best describe in Waiting in Superman (2010). Dropout factories are high schools that have a 40 percent of their students dropping out to the streets while closing the door could set them free. In American we have over 2,002 in 2007 to 1,652 in 2009 to 1,424 in 2013. Yes, the gap is closing on the number of dropout factories but there's still too many that is destroying the future of our children and communities which isn't good. Other things wrong in the educations is that there are two unions made to defend the teachers when they are put teachers in a binding contract that doesn't allow them to make changes into the school system. The two teacher unions is are the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA). These unions are so powerful that it's nearly impossible to get any change through to improve the learning environment in ways of getting new materials for the classroom or paying out of pocket to get new supplies for the class. An educator should never have to pay out of pocket for school supplies and that just one example of the problems with unions not funding schools the proper amount of

Many people have stated that I am a very patient man. I come through my patience naturally through my mother, who was the most thoughtful, patient individual I have ever met. I've had the opportunity of working in the Davis County School District as a substitute teacher and as the swim coach at Bountiful High School. I have also spent many years coaching adolescents on a competitive swim team. My experiences have been very rewarding thus far and have inspired me to want to become a special education teacher through the ATP Program. I can't even begin to describe the joyous feeling of knowing that I've touched the lives of the kids it is truly priceless. When kids excel or simply say, "I get it," when kids come in and say, "Thanks" or even "You're the best coach I ever had," or "will we have you again" that means a lot. They make me laugh, they give me hugs, they are observant, and most of them just need a little push. They miss me when I'm gone, they try so hard to do what I ask so much of the time. The most amazing feeling of all though is when the kids tell me "they want to be just like me and become a teacher or coach when they grow up".

I have finally discovered what I am truly passionate about and I am pursuing this passion by continuing my education so that I am able to fulfill my goal of being a special education teacher. My goal is to be the best teacher any student has had and will have throughout his/her schooling. I want to

My philosophy paper talks about the motives I have for becoming a teacher, the roles/jobs of a teacher and students and my main goals I want to achieve, The goals I want to achieve are making every student's parent's comfortable and proud when they come into my classroom and giving the students the best education and I want them to want them to come to school and be engaged in the class. My motivation for wanting to teach young children is that, I was inspired by my niece and nephew. I love working with little kids. They keep you busy, and they entertain you. The younger children listen to you and follow directions possibly better than older kids. Another reason why I wanted to teach is that I like helping little children learn new important information that they need to know. I was also inspired by my 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Levine for the reason that, she was an awesome teacher that I had in Elementary School. She was not boring at all and she would read us interesting books that would lead us to read them on our own time outside of school. My personal beliefs on education is that, you can succeed at anything you put your mind too. Why I Want To Be A Teacher

I am studying Early Childhood Education to become an elementary school teacher. For as long as I remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I would say that my decision was influenced by the fact that I am the oldest of my siblings and cousins, so I've always been the leader and sort of in charge. I am the only girl out of my cousins and brother, so they just accepted the guidance because I had the most attitude. Another reason that could contribute to why I want to teach is my personality. I've always been the student to follow the rules and I've never been able to understand why some of the other students did not. When my class had Fun Fridays in elementary school, instead of playing games with the rest of the class, I would ask the teacher if I could run errands or help put our graded worksheets in the cubbies. I also read to the pre–k and kindergarten students while I was in fifth grade. The school counselor was the one to give me the opportunity to read to them and many more things that has inspired me. Since it is mandatory for all children to attend school, it is important for them to be safe and comfortable. I want to be a teacher that can make this possible for students. Throughout my life, teachers have helped me with many challenges that I have faced, I know that I can make a positive difference in students' lives!

But, I feel that it will be easy if you win your students over. I know that the rewards in the end will out weigh the cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after.

I have always enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new topics as well as helping others understand those topics. I want to teach children to take an interest in school even if it is in only one subject area. My Reasons For Becoming A Teacher Essay

My reasons for choosing to become a teacher were nicely summed up by the quote cited in chapter 1, "...If you want to make a difference in the life of our nation, if you want to make a difference in the life of a child – become a teacher. Your country needs you." (President Obama, State of the Union, 1/25/11). Some of the reasons that I relate to are a desire to make a difference in students ' lives, a desire to serve, and excitement about the learning process. I want what I do professionally to have meaning, to leave a lasting impact on others. How better to leave a lasting impact than to teach children? Assisting children to learn seems to be a worthy endeavor. The impact a teacher has can be far–reaching as the students of today are the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. By teaching I am helping the community by assisting my students on their way to becoming contributing members of society. Not only am I interested in helping young minds grow, I am also interested in my own growth. The life of a teacher further appeals to me because it is a career choice that requires the professional to be an active learner themselves.

2.The breadth of knowledge and skills required for a teacher to perform their duties is daunting. Teachers are required to know about themselves, their students, the subject matter they are teaching, educational theories and current research, and the latest technology. In Education, I feel that each and every child should be considered as a unique individual. Children need secure, stimulating and caring atmospheres so that may grow maturely, intellectually, physically and socially. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen to become a teacher. Employers usually search for certain skills, qualities, talents in characteristics when looking for potential teachers and I feel that I possess many. I am a very organized individual; I have a lot of patience and experience in dealing with fast paced and stressful environments. I have a true passion for teaching and children, early childhood education allows me to channel back to my childhood and make children excited about education. I have a work ethic that does not quit and a strong willingness to reflect. With that being said, I have a true understanding of being able to ask myself why things went the way that they did, both on good days and bad days. The purpose of developing an educational philosophy is that it defines the purpose and focus of an educational institution. It typically becomes a part of the mission statement which defines which subject material is being taught. An institutional philosophy is also able to how subjects are taught and most importantly the values that are taught along with the subjects being covered. I feel that teaching beliefs are tied to teaching behaviors are very minimal and as the educator becomes more experienced they become less sensitive.

Why I Become A Teacher Essay

"Why do you want to be a teacher?" is one of the most common questions asked to a teacher. Some myths about teaching are teachers are heroes, the pay is bad, students are brats, and you cannot just leave your classroom to use the bathroom. Not everything you hear or see on television about teaching is true. There may be times where you want to pull your hair out due to student behavior or wish you made more money, but the job is not about that. Teaching is about loving children and wanting to educate them so they can in return help us in the future by being doctors, lawyers, etc... Therefore, teachers get the wrong impression, because they are either looked at as being the hero in someone's life or not knowing anything about their job.

In "To Teach the journey of a teacher" by William Ayers different teaching styles are introduced. The book teaches us that nobody is a perfect teacher. A couple myths from the book include time management is essential to teaching and you learn everything you need to know about teaching in college. Everyone will have off days when they are teaching and it is not going to go perfectly. Also, you cannot really understand teaching until you are actually in a classroom experiencing it for yourself. School may teach you basic skills and situations that you may encounter, but it is not real until you actually experience a crisis for yourself. Some other myths in the book are all teachers treat their students the same and all children will perform above average. Children come from all different backgrounds and start school in different places. There is no way that teachers can treat every single student the same and ensure that they will all be above average. Overall the book was full of myths that shows what other people think of teachers. In Moore article "Classroom Distinctions" and Rickets article "The Myth of the Hero Teacher," they talk about how you cannot be a good teacher without being a hero. Moore says we need more hero's in our schools. He also talks about how good teachers are portrayed in movies, while teachers in real life are not. Despite all of the myth about teachers, it is not impossible to become a teacher. Moore says it is a matter of finding a teaching method that

Teachers play a vital role in children's lives. Children go toschool five to seven hours a day, 5 days a week, for approximately 12 years depending on ages, which grade they start, and how fast they learn. Usually, teachers spend more time with children than their own parents do. I have always been surrounded by children, whether it be by being a teaching assistant in children's church, or being a baby sitter, or going to help my mother at her work on days when I got out early for exams. Some way or another I have always surrounded my life on helping children, sometimes by the simple things like sticking their straw in their juice box at snack time, to playing CD's so that they can sing along and learn their ABC's. Even if I only see the children at church one time a week for one hour, it fills my heart with such joy and strive to come back and teach them a new bible story next Sunday. Teaching children at church helps me to better understand how important teacher's jobs are to this world. It is so important to me that children have such a healthy lifestyle both physically and spiritually. The children that are growing up now are going to be the next generation, so it is very important to teach them not only the four basic classes; English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, but they should also learn how to eat healthy and exercise daily. My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay

My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've been on 4 mission trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. There are many reasons why I want to be a teacher. I adore children and I think they have a great sense of humor. Teachers also have a job security and that is important because not all jobs have that. I feel like in order to be a teacher I need to have compassion for My students. As a teacher, I want to care for my students and show them appreciation. I want my students to succeed in what they want in life. According to Ferlazzo (2015), "Students work hardest for teachers they like and respect. When I am asked, "How do I get students to like and respect me?" my immediate response is, 'Like and respect them first.'" I believe this whole heartedly because I have always been taught to treat others the way I want to be treated. It would appease me to know that I have mentored someone into being an intellectual individual. I would like to teach the second grade because I enjoy the energy they give off and I value the foundations of elementary education. The philosophy of teaching that I have chosen is progressivism. According to Cohen (1999), "Progressivists believe that education should focus on the whole child, rather than on the content or the teacher. This educational philosophy stresses that students should test ideas by active experimentation. Learning is rooted in the questions of learners that arise through experiencing the world." The progressivism philosophy is known as a student–centered philosophy which focuses mainly on the student itself. I think what

Why I Want to Be a Teacher

1. Why did you decide to become a teacher?

There are a large number of teachers in my life, nearly all my aunts and a large part of my social circle are teachers, instructors, and professors, and some of my role models happen to be teachers as well. While discussing my thoughts and feelings on what I should do for my second career, and where I should do it, with my family and friends, I was asked, "why not teach?" I have a passion for working with people and genuinely care about their success. One of my classmates told me that she thought I would excel at being a teacher since I have the ability to clearly and comprehensibly explain concepts, how to complete assignments in a way that maximizes learning, and because she found my enthusiasm for our course topics motivating. I am also an avid traveller; I have travelled through over 15 countries and have lived in two countries outside of Canada/North America. In reflecting on what I should do next, and where I should do it, it seems that combining teaching and travelling into my next career phase is a natural next step.

2. Why do you want to become a teacher?

I have dedicated my life to public service as an activist and social worker, and while I am transitioning into a second career, I do not want to stray from my commitment to helping others. I find that teaching is another form of public service that I am drawn to, as it is a role that supports people in reaching their goals.

The important thing is the proper preparation and the fundamental to living a full and rewarding life. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and communicates skills. Teachers enhance the lives of our young children by using theirteaching methods to deliver valuable information, which will serve the purpose throughout their lives.

One of my favorite memories as a high or middle school student was that I looked up to my teachers. I was so excited the first time I went to volunteer in a fourth grade class. I wanted to be a teacher for many reasons, but I think the biggest reason of all is my love for children in general. After volunteering in a elementary classroom, I got to move up and sit in a middle school classroom that consist of 6–8th graders who has Autism Spectrum Disorder.
