A committed and caring community support another very successful fundraiser event for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. Thanks to the generosity of the Berringa and surrounding Communities the fundraiser morning tea event for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre raised $8217.05. This event was held on the 21st April 2018 in Julie and Jim de Hennin’s garden at Talgarno. The event which attracted over 200 people was organised by a group of friends from the Talgarno, Bethanga, Granya and Bellbridge communities, whom were thrilled with the outcome of the event. Tables and chairs were set up throughout the garden where attendees sat enjoying morning tea, each other’s company and the beautiful music of Pete Klein and Rowan Brown
friends through their cancer journey. Highlights of the event included the delicious morning tea provided by attendees; a raffle of numerous generously donated items which meant that many people left the event delighted with their winnings; a BBQ of chicken kebabs; children’s activities; cake, produce, plants and knitted items stalls. An auction of high quality items made and donated by several generous people attracted enthusiastic bidding. The auction was ably conducted by a local auctioneer, Craig Schubert. A letter of thanks from the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre (AWRCC) said ‘ .... sincerely thank you for your generous donation to our cause following your hugely successful fundraising morning tea.......with your support the Trust Fund is able to enhance the wonderful treatment and care provided at the AWRCC. ’ The Trust Fund is 100% local charity, meaning that all money raised remains in the local community to help family and
