This publication casts a spotlight on the rich history of DC theatre,
told from the perspective of DC theatre professionals, and shares the unique mission of the Washington Area Performing Arts Video Archive (WAPAVA) in preserving and archiving DC's theatre productions for 25 years.
The publication also serves as a tool for engaging theatre-goers, developing new audiences, highlighting the wonderful productions and talent within the DC theatre community, noting the importance theatre and the arts have in society and extending the reach and use of the James J. Taylor Collection, the WAPAVA archive. The project was funded by the DC Humanities Council.
