FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Welcome to our 24/25 season! Every show this season is bursting with joy, music, and meaning. Live theater wouldn't exist without an audience to share it with, and we're so glad you are here.

If you haven't yet, you absolutely want to turn this ticket into a season pass so you can support your local musical theater AND ensure that top notch, exuberant shows are part of your life and your community. We've got Seussical, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Sound of Music heading your way after this!

The Prom's message of inclusion is such an important one to tell and tell again and again, and this team's incredible vision, commitment, and talent makes this story come alive in the most beautiful way. We could not be prouder of our incredible community of artists and we deeply thank you for being here to support our work.

With gratitude,

KIMBERLY DOOLEY

FROM THE CO-DIRECTORS

Based on a true story, The Prom tells the story of a high school student who finds her voice and learns the power of staying true to yourself. It is a story that celebrates individuality and inclusion, and gives us hope that even the most closed minds can be opened to change. Of course, it delivers these powerful messages through catchy tunes, giant dance numbers, and some of the funniest characters on Broadway!

What a ball we have had working on this show with such an incredible group of theater artists. Every actor has brought their heart and humor to their roles, and we are so lucky to have shared that process with them. Thank you to all of the Staff and Designers. Your collaboration has helped bring the show to life!

We are grateful to be able to share this beautiful story that reminds us to celebrate our uniqueness and welcome the things that make us each who we are. Our Berkeley Playhouse community is so special and we are thrilled to have you be a part of it. We hope you enjoy the laughs, tap your toes, and join us in that celebration!

Thank you!
