The staff has been busy planning our spectacular 5th Annual Signature Fourth of July Celebration, with pool parties, outdoor activities, fantastic culinary creations led by Chef John Soulia, all culminating in a magnificent fireworks display. The Player’s Amateur will be held at Berkeley Hall for the second year from July 11-14, and will be conducted by The Heritage Classic Foundation and founders Duke Delcher and Tom McKnight. This will be an opportunity for our members to meet some of the outstanding golfers from all over the world. Special congratulations to Berkeley Hall Member, Mike Balzer, for qualifying for this year’s event. Funds raised from this event are distributed to those in need throughout Southern Beaufort County. Many thanks to those Members who have volunteered their homes and time to make this event special. We hope to see you there!

We are inviting all youngsters between the ages of 6-10 to attend our Summer Kids Camp. Those dates are July 15-18, July 29-August 1, and August 5-8. Activities include games, crafts, outdoor sports, and lots of swimming. If you are interested in having your children or grandchildren attend, please call 843.815.8493 to register. Test your knowledge on July 16 at Dinner & Trivia Night, or get up and shout at Dinner & BINGO on August 1. Your summer plans might also include traveling to Palmetto Bluff for the Summer Concert Series, taking advantage of golfing at other courses via the Summer Reciprocal Program, or enjoying a day at the beach through the Westin Resort Beach Club Membership. Our Concierge staff and golf staff, respectively, will be happy to assist you with these programs. There’s something for everyone here at Berkeley Hall. Become a budding artist at the Summer Art Classes on July 23 & August 13. Invite your friends to visit on the Stay and Play Golf Group Package, enjoying 2-nights in 2 or more golf cottages with 8 or more guests and receive 2 complimentary rounds of golf each day. Try out a the new Tabata classes every Wednesday at 2pm at the Spa & Fitness Center. Breathe in the natural habitat aboard a Sunset Cruise. It’s all waiting for you here at Berkeley Hall Club. This edition of The Berkeley Hall Experience also showcases the generous and charitable spirit that our Members possess. So many of you touch and benefit the local community through your time, donations and fundraising events. Well done! On a somber note, we must take a moment to remember our friend and neighbor, Chuck Winterroth. Mr. Winterroth was a trusted, respected, and invaluable member of the Finance Committee and Board. We very much appreciate his lasting impression among our community, and will miss him greatly. Have a safe and wonderful summer and we hope to see you here in July and August enjoying Berkeley Hall.
