INTERLOCKING
Project Type - Academic
Project Year - 2024-2025 Fall
Project Location - Buffalo/NY
Project Type - Mixed Use
Project Partner - Danny Escandon
Project Instructor - Gregory Serwata
The project investigates how three isolated site elements—a creek, an underutilized green area, and an abandoned factory building—can be intersected to create meaningful spaces for seniors. The design aims to foster a sense of community while embracing the site’s unique context. By integrating these elements, the proposal generates opportunities for interaction, relaxation, and connection to nature within a cohesive architectural framework.

COLLECTIVE MEMORY RESEARCH CENTER
Project Type - Academic
Project Year - 2023-2024 Fall
Project Location - Istanbul / Turkey
Project Type - Culturel
Project Instructor - Togan Tong
The Istanbul Collective Memory Research Center seeks to celebrate and preserve the historical identity of a late Ottoman-era match factory. By juxtaposing the preserved structure with a contemporary addition, the design highlights the dialogue between history and modernity. The project also revitalizes the surrounding inert green spaces, transforming them into a welcoming, human-centered landscape that integrates the past with the present.

FAB-LAB DOLAPDERE
Project Type - Academic
Project Year - 2023
Project Location - Istanbul / Turkey
Project Type - Culturel
Project Instructor - Pınar Arabacıoglu
The Fab Lab Dolapdere project is located in Istanbul and aims to create an ecotone between modern art galleries and local producers who work with glass, metal, and wood. The Dolapdere area is often referred to as Istanbul’s Harlem, but it has been gaining popularity due to the increasing number of art galleries, artists’ workshops, and local residents are concerned about the potential gentrification of the area. With this project, We aim to bridge the gap between the local community and the new opportunities that the area presents.

EXP-PARASITE
Project Type - Academic
Project Year - 2022
Project Location - Istanbul / Turkey
Project Type - Culturel
Project Instructor - Senem Kaymaz
The Exp-Parasite project is situated in Istanbul’s historical center, known as the Vefa area. This location is highly susceptible to gentrification. Therefore, We did not intend to create a program filled with strict functions that dictate what to do and who does or does not belong here. Instead, Our goal was to establish a structure open to experimentation and fostering a mutually beneficial relationship with the local community and the historic buildings that have stood here for over a thousand years. Which is called Valens Aqueduct. Our project aims to create a mutual social potential with this great structure of history.

IMPACT OF THE TOUCH
In the Vefa area, there is a boulevard named Atatürk Boulevard. This boulevard has had a significant impact on Istanbul’s transportation infrastructure, but it has also altered the characteristics of the Vefa area. I have examined the effects of these changes on my project and explored how they influence it.

CHILDREN HOUSE
Project Type - Competition
Project Year - 2023
Project Location - Senegal
Project Type - Health Care Center
The Children’s House project was one of my initial experimental competitions. We collaborated on this project with Andac Guney. We aimed to develop three scenarios that could enhance the quality of life for the local community. While the project primarily focused on establishing a healthcare center for children, we didn’t want it to be exclusively a healthcare facility. Instead, we sought to create an open space where everyone in the village could gather, fostering a community where people could share their problems and work together to find solutions.
